Couldn't speak more highly of the care both of my children have had here.

Having enrolled our children at a number of childcare/ kindergartens over the years, my wife and I have found Friendship Square to be by far the best centre for our children. As an industry, staff turnover can be a challenge, however we have found that the staff at Friendship Square (many who have been there for years) go above and beyond for our children - making them feel safe and secure in their environment. We often chat to the staff at drop off and pick up and you can tell they really care about your children. The kinder program is excellent and sets the children up really nicely heading into school. Our children have needed extra support at times and the staff have done a great job at actively supporting their development. Having an onsite cook is also a huge point of difference - the children receive healthy nutritious home made meals unlike other centres where we felt salty snags were being served up several times a week.

Friendship square has become our family. Our 2 children have been so well cared for and understood at this centre. The small rooms means that educators know us and our kids extremely well. The educators and staff genuinely care about and take the time to listen to what we want for them too. Our 2 year old and 5 year old can play together during the day if they want to, which they love. They’re so happy there and it’s been one of the most positive experiences raising our babies so far.

Friendship Square Child care & Kindergarten is an absolute gem of the Cheltenham community. My family has had three children go through the center (two of which are now in primary school) and can honestly say that the staff are the most caring and thoughtful individuals in terms of how they care/d for our children. The food provided on a daily basis is of the highest quality, the fees are reasonable (due to well managed costs) and the quality of early childhood education is high. Both my eldest two thoroughly enjoyed their time at FS and have so far become very well rounded, caring, confident girls which I attest a huge portion of this to the education they were provided at FS. There is a great balance between play & learn. The kids get the chance to go offsite to bush kinder, lots of water play and many other activities where each day is different. Our third is currently in the centre and loves the time he spends there. Couldn’t recommend this centre enough!

My daughter starts at Friendship Square from March this year. At beginning, they had lots of educators and children away due to sickness. Hence lots of communication and programming were not managing to be updated. My daughter always comes home with wet clothes and shoes as they do waterplay at outdoor area, which is great. However, when it's time approaching to afternoon pickup time, I believe it's commonsense to get children ready to go home by pack away messy play and get changing into clean and dry clothes. Not still running around with barefoot. We found our daughter becomes very active/rude (?) and self-confident/in cooperate (?) after coming home from the centre. This behaviour changes make us pretty worry. Several times at pickup and drop off time, we sew children outside with one or few educators and they might be busy supervising young children using toilet or handling toilet incidents. It seems like there is a ratio issue among children supervision while they are at outdoor play area. For a 3yo Kindergarten room, we'd expect our children to learn the routine and good behaviours/manners at childcare. We also expect educators to remind children to dress weather appropriate especially with Melbourne's moody weather changes. It's a bit disappointment for a community centre.

My daughter started this year after a bit of a rocky start at another centre! The Director and educators are absolutely amazing, caring and kind. It’s a small, family focused centre and you couldn’t ask for anything more! Outstanding! X

We immediately knew this was the right childcare centre for our family, and it's exceeded our expectations. The staff are warm and caring (an extension of our family), the education program is amazing and they even have a fantastic Kinder room. Our daughter looks forward to going to her 'kindy' to play and learn with her friends. I couldn't recommend Friendship Square more!

My son has been attending Friendship Square for nearly 3 years now. The staff are like an extended family to us, as it's a small centre where everyone knows every child and parent. We always feel that they are collaborating with us to make sure our child's needs are looked after, and they are constantly working to create new learning experiences for the kids. Highly recommend.

Such a warm and friendly atmosphere at Friendship Square. 😊😊 My daughter has just moved from up to the 3 year old room and was met with a warm hug and a day in the vege garden! The educators knew we had been gardening at home, so this consideration made my day. The communication is fantastic, and they put on some outstanding fundraisers.😁 HIGHLY recommended.
