We have attended since it's new owners in February 2026. It's been incredible! We have 2 children attending and you can see the time and love that goes into the centre. The beautiful owner Ru, had been welcoming, open and has spent so much time making every little detail just right for children. The centre has not wasted any time in ensuring safety first with new gates outside so children can spend more time in supervised areas rain or shine. There has been stunning art wallpaper for each class just to add an extra spark. We have loved it from the live fish in the foyer to the many additional activities they plan on weekends for events such as the children's art exhibition. It really has helped build a community within the daycare and has been such a support. The staff are welcoming and they will stop and greet each of my children when they arrive. None of this entering with just a wave. My children are warmly welcomed each morning and settled into the class. We cannot rate it high enough. 10/10.

I would not recommend Climbing Ladders Early Learning & Montessori Centre, Rouse Hill.

My experience with this centre left me extremely disappointed. What stood out most was the apparent focus on appearances and keeping the centre looking immaculate, rather than prioritising children’s learning, wellbeing and meaningful interactions with educators.

Educators were often expected to spend significant amounts of time cleaning, tidying and maintaining the presentation of the centre, while valuable opportunities to engage with children, support their development and provide quality educational experiences seemed to take a back seat. Early childhood education should be about relationships, learning and nurturing children, not constantly worrying about whether every surface is spotless.

I also found management to be dismissive and, at times, rude when concerns were raised. Rather than feeling supported, staff often felt unheard and reluctant to speak up. Genuine concerns about children’s needs and centre practices did not appear to be welcomed.

There were ongoing concerns regarding staffing and ratios, particularly during busy periods, and I witnessed situations where educators were left under unnecessary pressure due to staffing arrangements. Management who signed into the room yet were not physically present in the room.

I was also concerned by practices surrounding food and rest. I witnessed children who were still hungry being denied additional food and children who were clearly exhausted being expected to follow a rigid routine rather than having their individual needs responded to appropriately. For a service that cares for young children, flexibility and responsiveness should be a priority.

The outdoor environment was also not being fully utilised, with areas such as the sandpit remaining inaccessible for extended periods. Children deserve opportunities to explore, get messy, learn through play and enjoy their environment.

I additionally observed concerning hygiene practices, where staff were encouraged to not use gloves as a means of ‘sustainability’ but it seems to be more of a cost cutting approach instead.

Overall, the centre gave the impression that maintaining a certain image was more important than providing high-quality care and education. Families trust childcare centres with their most precious people, and in my opinion, there was a significant gap between the image presented to families and what was happening behind the scenes.

If you attend for a tour, you will see beautiful clean rooms, however please understand the stress that staff felt, getting it to that point. The staff are wonderful people, people who genuinely care for the wellbeing of the children. However, management makes the rules.

Their social media posts seem untruthful, as what is described on their Facebook pages and what they claim to provide for the children, does not happen.

Additionally, I feel it is important to note the high staff turnover. It speaks for itself.

I would encourage parents to ask plenty of questions, spend time observing the centre environment, and carefully consider whether the centre’s priorities align with what they want for their child.

My 2 children were at the Centre when it changed ownership to Climbing Ladders. We had no knowledge about Montessori education, but decided to keep our kids enrolled to give it a go. We have noticed the biggest difference in our 4 year old in regards to his learning! Not only in the things he knows, but in his ability to sit and engage with an activity. Our 2 year old absolutely loves going to ‘school’. The staff are kind and did a great job at making the transition between centres as smooth as possible. We are extremely happy with the Centre.

My son attends this centre, and I couldn't be happier with the care and support we receive. The new management team has done an excellent job creating a positive, welcoming, and well-organised environment for both children and families. One of the biggest improvements has been the food. The meals are nutritious, varied, and enjoyable, and my son absolutely loves them. It's reassuring to know that he is being provided with healthy meals each day. I am also very impressed with the centre's approach to child development. The programs and activities are thoughtfully planned, and it is clear that the educators genuinely care about helping each child learn, grow, and reach their potential. Overall, I am extremely happy with the service and would highly recommend this centre to other families looking for high-quality childcare.

Safe and secure place for your kid

About Climbing Ladders Early Learning & Montessori Centre Rouse Hill

Climbing Ladders Rouse Hill provides Montessori childcare and daycare for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. Our Rouse Hill early learning centre offers a calm, welcoming environment where children feel safe, supported and known by name. We use Montessori education, which means children learn through hands-on experiences, real-life activities and purposeful play rather than worksheets or busywork.

Our Rouse Hill childcare centre blends authentic Montessori philosophy with our Principle Ladders curriculum to create an educational experience that develops the whole child, not just academically but socially, emotionally and creatively. Children move through carefully sequenced materials that build concentration, problem-solving skills and independence at their own pace. Educators guide rather than direct, stepping in with gentle support when needed and stepping back when children are deeply engaged in learning.

Classrooms are arranged in age groups so babies, toddlers and preschoolers each have spaces designed just for them. Low shelves, child-sized furniture and accessible materials allow children to choose their own work and pack away when finished. Our outdoor play areas include open space for gross motor play, natural elements, sand and water play, and quiet corners for reading or talking with friends. Every part of the environment is planned to help children feel confident, capable and respected.

Families in Rouse Hill choose our childcare because they see consistent routines, warm relationships and clear communication. Daily updates share what your child has been working on, how they are settling and any milestones reached. Many families begin with two or three days a week and increase days as children grow and build strong attachments to their educators.

If you are considering childcare or daycare in Rouse Hill, we invite you to book a tour to see our Montessori classrooms in action and meet the team. You can enrol online, or call us on the number below or email our team to ask about current availability, fees and the Child Care Subsidy.
