We honestly love Goodstart.<br><br>The centre has such a warm feel, a great connection to the outdoors, and the staff are amazing. They genuinely know the kids as individuals and connected with our daughter straight away.<br><br>Our daughter has been attending since she was 18 months old, and it has been the perfect environment for her to learn, grow, and thrive. The care and attention to detail is what really stands out, from the food and daily routines through to the activities and learning experiences that change week to week.<br><br>We especially appreciate the communication from the team. Even the smallest incidents are reported to us immediately, and we receive daily photos that show how she is progressing and enjoying her day.<br><br>The centre also embraces diversity and creates an inclusive environment where every child and family feels welcomed, respected, and celebrated.<br><br>We’ve seen our daughter grow so much in her confidence, friendships, behaviour, and sense of community. She has made beautiful little friendships, and we’ve also made great connections with other parents.<br><br>We’re so glad we chose this space for her and honestly wouldn’t want her anywhere else.<br><br>P.S. Our daughter has been attending this childcare since she was 18 months old, and she is now 4. Looking back, we honestly feel so grateful that this has been such a big part of her early years. She absolutely loves coming here, and as parents, that means everything. The educators are brilliant, caring, patient, and genuinely invested in the children. You can tell they don’t just “look after” the kids — they nurture them, encourage them, and help them grow with confidence. A special mention to Danni, the director, who is incredibly well organised and always so engaged with what is happening across each class. She is approachable, professional, and clearly passionate about creating a warm and positive environment for the children, families, and educators. It gives us so much peace of mind knowing our daughter is happy, safe, supported, and cared for by such a wonderful team. We have watched her grow, learn, make friends, and build confidence over the years, and we truly appreciate everything this centre has done for her. We couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

I normally never leave reviews, but after keeping my daughter at this childcare for 1 year and 1 month, I feel other parents should know our experience. The biggest issue was that the centre refused to move children to the next room when it was developmentally appropriate for their age. My daughter stayed in the nursery long after turning 2 years old, while almost all of her original nursery classmates had already moved up to toddlers except for a few children. She was left in a group mainly with much younger babies who could not even speak yet. When I raised concerns about my daughter’s speech development and social environment, I was told the nursery room can “legally” keep children until 3 years old and that they had “inadequate staffing.” Honestly, staffing issues should not become the parents’ burden or affect a child’s development. The centre seems to focus only on basic safety, but not on the child’s overall wellbeing, development, or emotional and social needs. I had never complained about anything during the entire time my daughter attended, until I started noticing developmental concerns and realised there was apparently no plan at all to transition her appropriately after she turned 2. I found the response from management (The Director) extremely dismissive and irresponsible. Children deserve an environment suitable for their developmental stage, not to be kept behind simply because of staffing shortages.

What can I say?! Our family loves everything about this place and feel very fortunate to be a part of the the Goodstart KVR community. The staff are exceptional with the children and so so caring and welcoming. We feel at ease knowing our children will be well cared for and are in a safe and enriching environment. Thank you to all the staff for always doing an amazing job (from the admin team, to all the educators).

I can’t recommend this childcare centre highly enough. Both of my children have attended, my daughter for three wonderful years, and now my son, and our experience has been consistently positive. The educators are incredibly warm, caring, and genuinely invested in each child’s wellbeing and development. It’s clear they build strong relationships with the children and families, which creates such a welcoming and reassuring environment. The centre itself is always clean, well-organised, and thoughtfully set up, giving me confidence that my children are in a safe and nurturing space every day. I’ve also really appreciated how accommodating the team has been to our family’s needs (dietary, culture and otherwise) over the years, they’ve always been understanding, flexible, and supportive. Management does an excellent job running the centre, and it shows in how smoothly everything operates. Communication is another standout, whether it’s daily updates, important notices, or just a quick chat at pickup, I always feel informed and included. It’s not easy trusting others with your children, but this centre has made that process so much easier for our family. I’m grateful for the care they’ve provided to both my daughter and now my son, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to other parents. Thank you Goodstart KVR!

Families considering this centre should be aware of some management issues. The rules often feel designed for the centre’s convenience rather than adapting to children’s needs, with little flexibility for their betterment. Staffing is inconsistent, with educators in rooms changing frequently. This disrupts children’s stability and leads to poor communication, meaning parents often receive incomplete or incorrect updates. Incident reporting is also a concern — some injuries aren’t documented, and even when reports are made, parents are not always informed due to internal rules, which is worrying. We also found some educators, and even the Director, to be rude and defensive when questioned about their strategies. Instead of open discussions, we often felt dismissed. After nearly 4 years at the centre, the ongoing mismanagement and lack of openness built up to the point where we had to withdraw our child mid-year for their wellbeing. The centre also sets rigid expectations and struggles to support children who don’t meet them, rather than helping them grow with patience and encouragement. Overall, while there may be positives, the poor management, weak communication, and defensive culture make it hard to feel confident in the care provided. Children deserve a supportive and transparent environment, and I hope this centre works on those areas.

The curriculum is thoughtfully designed, balancing structured learning with plenty of free play, allowing my kids to explore their interests and develop important social skills. Communication with parents is outstanding, with regular updates and photos that make us feel connected to our child’s day. I’m especially impressed with how the staff tailors their approach to meet the individual needs of each child, ensuring they feel supported and confident. Goodstart Kellyville Ridge has exceeded our expectations in every way. I highly recommend it to any parent looking for a loving and enriching environment for their kids.

The staff at this centre is amazing and genuinely care for the children. The centre is well-kept and the playground is a good size and has enough features for children to play with. The administration team is also amazing - responds to enquiries promptly and tries to assist you as much as they can. Highly recommended :)
