Welcome to Pear Tree House Family Day Care, a warm and nurturing home-based early learning environment where children are encouraged to feel safe, confident, curious and valued.
Established in Bronte in December 2012 and now located in Matraville, Pear Tree House has been thoughtfully created to provide children with a genuine sense of belonging while supporting their individual learning, development and wellbeing.
We believe that children learn best through play, exploration, meaningful relationships and everyday experiences. Our program is guided by each child’s interests, strengths and emerging skills, creating opportunities for learning that are engaging, purposeful and responsive to the children in our care.
Throughout the day, children are encouraged to explore a variety of experiences including creative arts, sensory play, imaginative and role play, music and movement, early literacy and numeracy, nature-based learning, outdoor play and opportunities to develop independence and life skills.
Being a Family Day Care allows us to offer a small-group, home-like environment, where children can build strong relationships and receive individual attention while developing friendships and learning alongside others.
At Pear Tree House, we value strong partnerships with families and believe that open communication and family input are an important part of each child’s learning journey.
To make life a little easier for our families, we also provide nutritious meals, including morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea, nappies, wipes, bed sheets, and eligible families can access the Child Care Subsidy (CCS).

Pear Tree is an amazing daycare! The school is extremely well organized, always clean, and has an incredible space for children, both indoors and outdoors.<br><br>My two children attended Pear Tree and Leia is a wonderful educator. She is incredibly caring, loving, and dedicated. Every week she plans different activities, keeps parents updated with regular feedback, and truly makes every child feel special.<br><br>My children were so happy during their time there, and I’m extremely grateful for all the love, care, and attention Leia gave them. I highly recommend Pear Tree to any family looking for a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for their children.

Leia is the most amazing genuine caring person, and her daycare is a little home away from home. The children are always happy, well fed, safe, rested and nurtured at Leia’s place.
