Our high-quality, play based preschool curriculum is delivered by Bachelor qualified Early Childhood Teachers. Our teachers tailor their programs to ensure all children develop the confidence and social and emotional skills needed for a smooth transition to school. Through play, our Early Childhood Teachers facilitate children’s learning of important language, literacy, numeracy and creative skills.

Goodstart Early Learning uses the StoryPark app to connect with parents throughout the day. The educators upload photos and stories to the secure app, which parents can access anytime and anywhere to track their child’s progress.
The approach at the centre is very much based around partnership between families and educators. The educators work with the parents and carers to build strong relationships. They develop trust so the children can feel safe and secure while at the centre. Parents are also encouraged to share their insights and feedback with educators to add depth to the relationship.

Hi, I’m Jen, the new Centre Director at Goodstart Early Learning Edgewater.
I have 12 years’ experience working in the Early Education and Care sector and I am a qualified Early Childhood Teacher from Ireland. I have been in Australia for the past 10 years and strongly believe in the importance of Early Education in the first 5 years of a child's life for developing skills and relationships that set the foundation for their future success and well-being.
Quality play-based learning has a significant role in a child’s development, fostering creativity, social skills, problem-solving abilities, emotional regulation, language proficiency, and curiosity.
The team and I at Goodstart Edgewater implement this by following the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards through our program, environments, and experiences available to the children every day.

My son attends Goodstart in Edgewater and absolutely loves it. Since starting, his confidence has grown tremendously, which has been so rewarding to see. The staff are professional, friendly, and genuinely caring—they’re always attentive to the children’s needs. The centre offers excellent resources and a wide range of engaging activities, all thoughtfully designed to support development and prepare children for the next stage of life. It’s a fantastic centre with an incredible team—I highly recommend it!

Very happy with the care provided for our 3 year old son at Goodstart Edgewater. We chose to move to Goodstart as we were previously at a larger centre we weren't happy with. Goodstart feels much more tight-knit and it was so nice to see the same staff every day. Lots of photos of daily activities sent through on the app as well.

The staff are wonderful, caring and attentive, and the centre provides great resources and engaging activities. My daughter especially loves the additional Happy Feet class in the Kindy room. Fantastic centre - highly recommend!
