We offer nurturing care and quality early education for children from 6 weeks to 6 years, with flexible hours (9, 10, 11, and 12-hour sessions) to suit busy families.

Our Learning Environments

Our children benefit from familiar faces as they grow, creating a sense of continuity:

 • Nursery (0-2 years): A safe, nurturing environment for babies to explore with tailored sensory and social experiences.
 • Toddler (2-3 years): Play-based learning encourages curiosity, confidence, and social skills.
 • Kindergarten (3-6 years): A stimulating learning environment that prepares our children for school through our Enhanced Learning Program.

We’re proud to have qualified teachers and educators, supported by a team of national education experts, ensuring the highest quality childcare and early education.

Innovative Early Learning Programs

Our teachers deliver the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF or the national curriculum) through play-based learning that covers language, literacy, numeracy, STEM, social, and emotional development. Our program also includes:

 • Rhythm and Movement for Self-Regulation (RAMSR), an evidence-based program developed by Queensland University of Technology to support children’s executive function and self-regulation.
 • Environmental and social sustainability learning experiences.
 • Personalised learning plans for each child.
 • Local school connections.

We focus on strong family partnerships through regular learning and development conversations with your child’s lead educator, learning showcases, and in-centre family events. Our Xplor app provides real-time updates and learning summaries daily to keep you informed on your child’s journey.

About the curriculum

About the curriculum

Let the child be the scriptwriter, director and the actor in their own play” - Magda Gerber

Nursery Space: 6 weeks – 2 years

Learning starts from before birth, and our Educators have created a welcoming and nurturing nursery environment where each baby feels safe to explore and discover new things - through their senses, their communication and cues (body language, facial expression and sounds) and through experimentation. On any given day you can see the nursery children engaging in all types of play including sensory play, music time, story time and more. Every day provides a brand new, exciting adventure for our babies to support their development, learning and wellbeing.

Toddler Space: 2 - 3 years

Our teachers and educators encourage the children to learn through play to help enhance their sensory-motor development. This happens through carefully planned music, dance, games, role playing and reading experiences.

On any given day the Toddlers can be seen developing their numeracy by building a tower, sorting objects, pointing and identifying shapes and patterns and participating in counting songs and games.

Children in our toddler space are encouraged to participate in group play. Group play is important as it helps our toddlers develop important social skills such as, turn-taking, developing self-confidence and emotional self-regulation. Our skilled team helps children through talking, planning and role modelling.

Kindergarten Space: 3 – 6 years

Kindergarten is a unique time for learning with peers and developing skills for later learning including confidence and curiosity, important skills for starting school. Our play-based program has school readiness at its core, encouraging active engagement in learning and supporting a range of positive developmental outcomes including resilience, independence, critical thinking and creativity.

The oral language supports literacy learning and a child’s oral language ability is the best predictor for later success in learning to read and write. Hearing the sounds within a language is the first critical step for all literacy learning. Our team supports our Kindergarten children's literacy development by engaging in rich discussions, reading, storytelling, dramatic play and experimentation all of which introduce new vocabulary as part of everyday conversations.

Throughout the Kindergarten year, children use their language to share ideas, ask questions, express themselves, and connect with peers and adults in social settings.

Social-emotional skills, including the ability to self-regulate emotions, are supported through group learning experiences. Our team supports each child’s social and emotional development by labelling and talking about emotions and supporting appropriate responses as together, they engage in new and challenging situations. Our goal in the Kindergarten year is to prepare children and families for a smooth transition to primary school.

Health and Nutrition

Health and Nutrition

Our centre chef prepares and cooks nutritious meals daily, catering to the unique dietary requirements of every child. We believe that by encouraging active participation (such as growing their own fruit and vegetables, preparing, and finally cooking!) children learn to appreciate and understand the importance of healthy eating across a wide variety of food.

Our centre offers seasonal whole food-based menus – created to delight the fussiest eaters.

Meet the team

Hi, my name is Cassie, and I am the Centre Manager here at Community Kids Pakenham. I am committed to ensuring every child feels safe, welcomed, and cared for, and that each family feels a strong sense of belonging within our centre community.

I began my career in early childhood education in 2012 as an Assistant Educator and have since progressed through roles including Lead Educator and Assistant Centre Manager. I have been working as a Centre Manager since 2018, and joined Community Kids Pakenham in 2025.

I am passionate about leading and guiding educators to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all children. Throughout my career, I have built strong relationships with children, families, and teams. From my first day in early childhood education, I was inspired by the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in each child’s life. I am committed to ensuring every child feels safe, welcomed, and cared for, and that each family feels a strong sense of belonging within our centre community.

Our centre is an extension of home, where children can learn, grow, and feel part of a supportive community. Our team at Community Kids Pakenham is dedicated to providing engaging and enriching learning environments. We are proud of our diverse team and the strong culture we have built together. Many of our educators have been with the centre for over 10 years, which provides consistency and strong relationships for children and families.

Supporting families is at the heart of what we do. We focus on daily communication, understanding each family’s individual needs, and working in partnership to support every child’s development. Through ongoing conversations and genuine care, we build strong, trusting relationships with our families.

I look forward to welcoming your family to our centre community.

We are really happy here. It has such a warm, welcoming family feel and the management team is always so positive and approachable.
Linda, the Assistant Manager, is so warm and bubbly. The kids love her sparkly shoes and her happy, positive nature you are so lovely 🥰 and Cassie, the Manager, is always so helpful too, especially when I have questions or little complaints about my account 😂 sorry Cassie!
I love walking into the Jr Kinder room and seeing Lisa always doing something fun and engaging with the children at srop off. Binal is so lovely and informative, and I’ve even seen her dancing with the kids in the yard, which I absolutely loved seeing 😊
We also love Sunil and Lekan. It is so nice having two male educators in the centre who both have such caring hearts and are wonderful with my child when they are sad at drop off.
We love walking in and smelling cakes being baked in the morning makes it feel so homely. You can really see the care, fun and connection throughout the childcare.
Such a lovely team and a beautiful environment, thank you. ❤️

We recently toured the centre and had such a lovely experience. From the moment we arrived, the management team and educators were warm, welcoming and genuinely engaging.
The team took the time to show us around, answer our questions and make us feel comfortable. It was lovely to see how friendly and caring everyone was, and you could really feel the positive atmosphere throughout the centre.
Unfortunately, we weren’t able to enrol this year, but we are really looking forward to our child starting next year. We left the tour feeling very happy and confident with our choice.
Thank you to the management team and educators for making us feel so welcome. We can’t wait to become part of the centre community next year!

Thank you for being the centre who restored my faith. I’m a nervous mum but you made me feel at ease as soon as I contacted you and the high level of care showed as soon as I walked in was exceptional. It was a feeling that made me breathe in relief, knowing that my daughter will be looked after, filled with love and quality education. She has never been away from me before- you wouldn’t know it as she reached out her arms to the centre manager Cassie on our first meeting. We are now many months down the track and it just keeps getting better. I love the communication, the safety focus and that you send children home sick. Ha! That right there, shows me that you care. You are the ultimate professionals and I’m so happy to have found you.
