Our dedicated educators provide a balanced, stimulating program to support children’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth. Our curriculum is aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework, promoting sensory and play-based learning from Nursery to Kindergarten. The Kindergarten program focuses on school readiness, ensuring a smooth transition to primary school.
We stay connected with families through the Storypark platform, regular family nights, and newsletters. This open communication enables us to personalise each child’s learning journey while celebrating the cultural diversity within our centre.
Outside, we have three play areas with age-appropriate equipment, including sandpits, A-frames, vegetable patches, a mud kitchen, and natural and manmade play surfaces. These spaces foster an understanding of the environment and sustainability.
Fresh, healthy meals are prepared daily by our qualified cook, covering breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and a late snack.

Our high-quality, play based preschool curriculum is delivered by Bachelor qualified Early Childhood Teachers. Our teachers tailor their programs to ensure all children develop the confidence and social and emotional skills needed for a smooth transition to school. Through play, our Early Childhood Teachers facilitate children’s learning of important language, literacy, numeracy and creative skills.

Hi, I’m Astha Singh and I’m the Centre Director here at Goodstart Sunbury Barkly Street.
I hold a Master’s in Teaching and take great joy, pride and satisfaction in overseeing the educational programs and care at Goodstart Sunbury Barkly Street.
I have been in the Early Childhood industry for over 14 years and have been in various roles and throughout that time, I have worked in Australia and Overseas working with children from birth to 12 years.
At Goodstart Sunbury Barkly Street, together with the passionate team, we strive to provide a safe, peaceful, and natural environment that engages children's five senses, provoking wonder, curiosity and intellectual engagement.
I strongly believe that each child has unique strengths, preferred learning style and knowledge that they bring with them into our education setting. Harnessing their individual strengths and learning styles helps them to develop positive attitudes about learning so they will emerge as confident and self-motivated learners. I am very passionate to be part of their learning journey.
I believe in working closely in partnership with families so I could utilise their expert knowledge of their child and support accordingly to achieve the best possible outcomes for our little explorers.

On a few occasion, circa 2017, I entered this premise to the smell of burnt toast. I walked over and there was a child sitting there with a piece of toast the shade of coal. No. It wasn’t vegemite. Absolutely disgusting.

Brought my child here due to good reviews online but not even a month of attending the childcare service, just realised how bad this childcare centre. Few incidents happened but their management only did nothing. Juat today went there to pick up my child and he was there eating sand and small rocks that he could swallow and breath. I took my child to wash room and quickly wash off his mouth. The educator in charge just couldnt care. I asked you saw he was eating sand and rocks why u didnt stop. She replied it is okay for children to eat that. She did not help and only pointed that room is a washroom. I wouldnt be trusting this childcare centre to lool after your little one
