Lovely preschool/kinder has really helped my daughter's French in preparation for school.

Look no further - Steve leads an incredibly dedicated and caring team that provides consistent, reliable care and a service you can truly trust. Our kid has been attending the service for nearly 3 years. We have been very impressed with the safe learning environment it provides. The teaching program is always thoughtfully structured, there is also a strong focus on literacy and numeracy that prepares kids ready for prep. The French language environment is a wonderful addition, giving children early exposure to another language in a natural and immersive setting.

Our daughter has had the best time at La Grande Recre, she has learned so much and we will always be grateful for that. The staff really care about the children.

My daughter started attending La Grande Récré in January 2024 to improve her French (I’m French ☺️), and she has also been going to an Australian childcare since she was 7 months old. We both love La grande récré! They offer fun activities in a small, personal environment, which I really appreciate. What I love most is how they celebrate Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and the end of the year in such a traditional French way. I also appreciate how they focus on literacy and numeracy, following a more French school approach that I personally prefer compared to the Australian childcare. That said, I still want her to experience both. I highly recommend this school if you want your child to learn French or stay connected to French culture. Steve and the whole team are amazing!

My children absolutely love LGR, and the entire team there. They've made some beautiful friendships and their French has really flourished during their time there. They now speak to me predominantly in French, and I couldn't be happier. Thank you Steve and team!

My son attended La Grande Recre since he was 2 and absolutely loved it. Now in Prep, he is bilingual. We are also very grateful for all the structured activities the staff organised for the kids. Unlike traditional kindergartens in Australia, LGR offers a more structured environment with set routines. We are grateful for this approach as it provided our son with the opportunity to acquire essential life skills and develop discipline, which will undoubtedly benefit him in his future endeavors. Steve and the staff have been an invaluable source of support. We are sincerely grateful for their efforts and the personal attention they have given to our son's growth. Highly recommend LGR!

La grande récré is been a fantastic place for my children and our family. The educators genuinely care about the children and the children couldn't be happier. They look forward to go every week and always have a lot to tell us about their day, friends and their favourite educators. Thanks Steve and the team for your fantastic work.

If you’re looking for an great French school, where everybody is welcoming and your child is genuinely cared for, then La Grande Récré is the place for you. The team of staff, led by Steve, are totally awesome! I recommend you check it out and look beyond the ‘old school’ exterior.
