My little one started in the Dias Room at 18 months, I honestly couldn’t be happier with the experience. Like many mums, I felt guilty and anxious at first. Around that time, I’d also heard some unsettling news stories about childcare neglect and abuse, which made me even more anxious. But from our very first orientation, the management team were warm, genuine and thanked me for choosing their centre. The warm and genuine staff put me at ease.
Everyone is cheerful and welcoming each morning. The centre chef, Ms Helen, cooks absolutely delicious meals (you can smell them from the entrance!), and she always takes the time to chat and connect with families.
I also appreciate their strong hygiene practices - parents are asked to remove shoes before entering the room, and educators change into their designated work shoes. It’s a small gesture that goes a long way in reducing germs and keeping the environment safe and clean. The rooms are always bright, tidy, and feel calm and inviting.
Most of all, I’m so grateful for the amazing educators in Dias Room. They’re incredibly attentive and caring, always greeting the children with warmth and genuine smiles. Every afternoon, they make time to tell me how my child’s day went – how much they ate, how long they slept, and any sweet moments they noticed. My child settled in surprisingly quickly, and it’s clear that they feel safe, loved and happy here.
Discovery Bay Croydon has turned my mum guilt into peace of mind. Highly recommend to any parent seeking a nurturing, high-quality centre.
