My son attends Imagine Nerang and I can’t speak more highly of them. The staff go above and beyond, really care for the kids and are always happy and engaging. They have a lot of Educators on site who provide a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment. It takes me 30 minutes to leave in the afternoon as my son doesn’t want to leave. They have a lot of staff highly trained for kids with Autism. Highly recommend this centre.

At Imagine Childcare and Kindergarten Nerang, the play-based curriculum is meaningful and based on evidence and understanding of the developmental and emotional needs of each child. The Educators base their learning on approved Frameworks and theorists. The Educational Philosophy is based on Howard Gardiner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences. 

The centre provides an inclusive program, tailored to the individual needs of children. When developing lifelong skills, the Educators believe that it is important to introduce all children to the world holistically. Along with the typical development skills that are learnt, children will develop empathy, social connectedness, sharing, understanding, and a way to develop awareness of, and support for, their peers as they immerse themselves in the program. The centre regularly engages in reflective practices and shows commitment to continuous improvement and ongoing learning to ensure the highest quality care and education is provided and maintained at all times. Parents are offered a complementary barista coffee at drop off time, which is a chance for them to chat to Educators about their child’s learning and development.

I started my journey with Imagine as a school-based trainee where I went on to get a permanent position and complete my diploma. I am now a lead Educator in the Toddler room and couldn’t ask for a better company to work for. Our Centre director Sophie is so supportive and we have such a great team environment. All of the Educators at Imagine Childcare and Kindergarten Nerang have the same passion and that is providing a safe, secure and fun environment for the children in our care.

Upon leaving my interview for the Early Childhood Teacher position at Imagine Childcare and Kindergarten Nerang, I was so inspired to be a part of the team. The Kindergarten program offers age appropriate play based learning experiences to prepare the whole child for their transition to school. Through enriched caregiving the children are encouraged to build their capacity for learning, which is individualised to meet the varying needs of the children.  It is an absolute pleasure to be part of this supporting team of Educators who hold early childhood development at the forefront of their decision making and planning for the children in their care.

The centre understands that nutrition plays an important role in each child’s physical development as well as their attitudes towards healthy food.

All meals and snacks are prepared onsite by professional qualified chefs every day. The children work alongside the Educators to care for the centre’s vegetable patches, and these vegetables are then used in the kitchen or for cooking experiences with the children.

The Educators use meal time as an opportunity to share positive experiences around food and to help children develop social skills such as sharing and turn taking. They role model positive behaviours and attitudes, and involve the children in the menu planning.

All food allergies, intolerances, cultural requirements and family preferences are taken into account by consulting with parents when meal planning for the children.

Morning

Maggie is nine months old and she starts her day by sitting with her Educator who shows her some musical instruments that she can try out. Her Mum grabs a coffee and chats to her Educator about her sleep patterns before she heads off to work.

Lunchtime

Maggie and her friends are sitting with an Educator who is reading some books outside in the shade. Maggie smiles as they read her favourite book, Peepo.

Afternoon

The children are playing outside and Maggie has a turn on the swing. Her Educator tickles her feet as she pushes her higher.
