I am married with three grown up children.
My family day care service has been operating for the last 31 years since 1988. Over the past 31 years I have cared for children ranging from 6 weeks of age to 18 years of age, children with learning disabilities, and behaviour difficulties.
I believe in creating a home away from home and making sure the children develop, knowing the meaning of Belonging, Being & Becoming. To provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment for all children encompassing respect of culture, backgrounds and beliefs. Making the children and their families feel like they belong in my home.
I also encourage the involvement of parents/guardians into the plan of my program, and encourage them to take part in any day care activities and training.
The best part about being in family day care is watching, growing, laughing and crying with the children and their families that come into care. After 31 years I have made a lot of friends and witnessed many milestones, like going to their first day at school and even graduating into high school.
