From the get go everyone was so helpful, I got a prompt call back when I enquired and was offered to tour the centre, Jane and Amy were both so informative and answered all the questions we had and were super helpful on anything we were confused about. Both of our sons had a beautiful transition, especially our eldest, they worked with us during toilet training transition and gave us so many options to help his day to day comfort. He’s come leaps and bounds and is now confident and supported and ready to start prep next year. They have great outdoor play areas including amazing water play and a river that flows right back into the surrounding bushland for the hotter months. The staff are absolutely wonderful and always keep communication on those days that our little people are dealing with big emotions. The food is great (my kids eat so much at daycare) it’s always fresh and the kitchen smells divine when you walk in every morning, so much so I often joke about coming back for lunch! They were the first centre we toured and I enrolled immediately, I cannot recommend kids ELC at Dakabin enough, keep up the great work everyone!

At Kids ELC Dakabin, our high-quality, play-based kindergarten program is led by experienced and qualified Early Childhood Teachers who truly understand how young children learn. We focus on building each child’s confidence, wellbeing and independence through personalised learning experiences that support their social, emotional and thinking skills. This helps set them up for a smooth and positive transition to school.
Our kindy program encourages exploration, creativity and working together. Through play, children grow their language, literacy, numeracy and problem-solving abilities in ways that are fun, meaningful and engaging.
We are proud to be a Queensland Government Approved and Funded Kindergarten Program provider, meeting and exceeding national standards for early childhood education.
What families can expect from our kindy program:
With free kindy, flexible care options and a program designed to inspire a lifelong love of learning, Kids ELC Dakabin gives your child the very best start to their school journey.
Our curriculum is guided by respected national and international frameworks including the Early Years Learning Framework, Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines, My Time Our Place, the National Quality Framework, the Early Childhood Code of Ethics and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. These foundations help us nurture a learning environment that is inclusive, holistic and respectful of every child’s potential.
At Dakabin, learning is grounded in the power of play. Through hands-on and open-ended experiences, children grow across all areas of development including social, emotional, physical, thinking and creative. Educators support each child’s wellbeing, sense of agency and identity by responding to their individual backgrounds, cultures and ways of learning.
At Kids ELC Dakabin, we follow a Reggio Emilia-inspired approach to early learning. We see children as capable and full of curiosity. Learning is shaped by their interests, questions and relationships. Educators support this by guiding and learning alongside the children. Through play and hands-on experiences, children explore, discover and grow at their own pace.
We believe the environment is a key part of learning. Our spaces are calm, beautiful and thoughtfully set up to invite creativity and independence. Children are encouraged to express their ideas in many ways, such as through art, music, movement, storytelling and imaginative play. These experiences help them connect with others and share how they see the world.
Relationships are at the heart of our approach. We know that children learn best when they feel safe and supported. They grow through their connections with educators, other children, their families and the natural world. Our educators carefully observe and listen to children, helping to make learning meaningful. By working closely with families, we create a caring and respectful space where every child feels confident to explore, ask questions and enjoy learning.
At Kids ELC Dakabin, our educators are caring, experienced and truly passionate about helping every child grow and thrive. Each team member brings their own strengths and a shared commitment to creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive space for all children.
We value kindness, connection and teamwork. Our educators work closely together so that every child feels seen, supported and encouraged to learn in their own way.
All educators hold recognised early childhood qualifications. Our Kindergarten Program is led by university-qualified Early Childhood Teachers who are experts in helping children get ready for school. Ongoing learning is important to us. Our team continues to grow their knowledge so they can bring new ideas and meaningful learning opportunities into the classroom.
When families join the Kids Early Learning Centres community, they can feel confident knowing their child is supported by a skilled and caring team who lead with heart, purpose and professionalism.

Touring this service, I was very excited to see the thoughtfully designed spaces that maximise my child’s learning opportunities. The Centre Director, Jane, and her team were approachable and took the time to answer all my questions regarding supervision practices, particularly around risky play. The children appeared confident within these environments, and it was evident that strong safety measures are embedded throughout the service. The service is beautiful and clean.

We absolutely love our centre. Jane the director is incredibly attentive and genuinely cares about the children and families. The centre is always clean, with a great range and variety of food provided. The rooms are spacious, open and welcoming, creating such a lovely environment for the kids. The staff are truly beautiful people, and any feedback we’ve ever given has been listened to and actioned. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this centre to anyone. We know our child feels safe and supported here, which is all any parent hopes for.
