My daughter attended this center when it first opened. Like any young child, it took her about six weeks to settle in, but after that, she had a great time and made some wonderful friends. Over the course of two years, I noticed some staff changes, which is understandable. However, in recent months, the turnover has been extreme. One day, my daughter would recognise all the staff, and the next, she wouldn’t know a single one.
During our time at the center, the majority of the staff were fantastic. Unfortunately, most of those individuals are no longer there. There was one particular member of the management team who was exceptional, and I would trust her with my children any day of the week.
What really disappointed me, though, was an email I received from higher management. After reporting an incident to an educator that morning, I was later informed that I had "hurt a staff member's feelings." The email didn’t acknowledge the incident I reported at all, and instead, it focused solely on my supposed role in upsetting a staff member. This response made me feel as though the well-being of my child was no longer the priority.
At that point, I became concerned that the center’s focus had shifted away from the children’s needs, so I made the decision to remove my daughter.
