My child attended this centre for just over two months. I’m not here to judge whether the centre is professional or not; I simply want to share our personal experience to give other parents something to consider.<br><br>We chose this centre because it was close to home, clean and seemed to have a reasonable staff-to-child ratio. However, our experience was very different from what we expected.<br><br>During the early days, my child cried a lot at drop-off. On one occasion, after I handed him over and walked into the hallway, I heard him crying and saw him walking around helplessly while a teacher followed behind with a very cold and unhappy expression. As soon as she noticed me, her expression immediately changed and she smiled.<br><br>My child also consistently told me that one particular teacher was “very scary”. Every time he saw this teacher at drop-off, he refused to go inside. He even told me that this teacher had pushed him on the shoulder. Unfortunately, whenever my child was injured, this teacher seemed to be on duty.<br><br>There were also two incidents that particularly concerned me. On one occasion, my child came home with a long scratch across the left side of his face, as well as scratches around his eye and above his lip. He said another child had scratched him while they were fighting over a toy. No staff member mentioned the injury to me—I discovered it myself.<br><br>The following week, I received another call saying my child had been injured. I was told it was not serious, but when I picked him up, his entire chin was scraped. He said another child had pushed him and he fell from the sandpit.<br><br>I understand that accidents can happen between young children. However, when a child is repeatedly injured and parents are not properly informed, it becomes very difficult to feel confident about their safety and supervision.<br><br>My child also ate very little at lunchtime throughout his time there. I had spoken with other parents who also had concerns about the food.<br><br>The main reason we stayed as long as we did was because my child really loved one particular part-time teacher. He was only willing to go when she was there. Eventually, we reduced his attendance from five days to two days, but before the new schedule even started, we decided to withdraw him completely.<br><br>One thing I would strongly recommend to other parents is: don’t rely only on the photos a centre posts. Talk to your child and pay attention to how they react to different teachers.<br><br>A child may look happy in a photo, but what matters most is whether they actually feel safe, cared for and respected when parents are not around.<br><br>This is simply our personal experience, and I’m sharing it so other parents can make a more informed decision.<br><br>孩子在这边两个多月。我不评价这家中心是否专业，我只描述我看到的事实。当初选择这家是觉得这家相对近一点，环境干净，人员配比还算足的。但是实际上这些都是表面功夫，老师是当着家长面前一副面孔，家长走了对待孩子又是另一副面孔。讲几个我在接送孩子看到的事情，给各位家长进行参考。为了方便叙述我分别来描述一下几位老师。第一位，在刚送去的前期孩子正是哭闹的时候，我刚放下孩子的时候老师是有过来迎接的，我就放心的把孩子交给老师了，当我放好推车在走廊里听见孩子的哭声，看到的是孩子无助的在教室走来走去，老师冷着脸在后面走脸上挂着的是嫌弃的表情，但是转头看到了我就立马换上了笑脸。另一个让我不能接受的事情就是这个幼儿园一到下午就放非常刺耳的音乐，音量和音乐类型是完全不符合儿童的。有一次提早去接孩子就听到了这样的音乐，而且看到了孩子在哭闹，找老师求助的时候，这位老师也是无动于衷的。再讲一下另外一位老师，孩子叫他非常凶的那位老师，在送去的前期，孩子说这位老师有用手推他肩膀的行为。每次送孩子过去，只要是第一眼看到这位老师孩子就不愿意进去，这种状态是全程持续两个多月的。能明显感觉到这位老师是非常不负责任的，被迫营业的感觉。每次孩子受伤都是这位老师当班，而且吃没吃，喝没喝，上没上过厕所这些完全不管的。能让我们一直坚持在这里上下去的是因为孩子很喜欢里面的一位兼职老师，只有这位老师在的时候孩子才会愿意去。孩子说只要这位老师是好好待他的，其他的老师都是很凶的。所以后面我们就从五天申请变成两天。但是刚申请完，还没正式开始执行，事情就一件接一件的。第一件事是我接孩子的时候发现孩子左半边脸上从鼻子到耳朵一条很长的抓痕，同时眼角，嘴唇上方都有。孩子说是小朋友抢玩具过程中被其他大孩子抓伤的。但是daycare的工作人员没有任何人跟我提及此事，还要我自己去找他们说。第二天我明确跟园长说我不希望孩子脸上受伤，万一留下疤痕是一辈子的事。结果第二个礼拜下午接到园区的电话说孩子又受伤了，这次是下巴，听她描述的语气是不严重，小事情。我接到孩子的时候整个下巴都破了。孩子说是其他小朋友过来把他推倒了，他从沙池上摔下去的。我想问这些老师当时在干嘛？如果一个孩子在哪里最基本的安全保证都没有，更别提其他方面了。这么长的时间里孩子几乎中午都是空着肚子的。跟其他家长也聊起过，问过其他孩子的吃饭情况，家长说他们家换过厨子了，吃的也不好。现在这家里面的人员非常不稳定，来了一位新的兼职，人很木讷又没什么爱心。当看到这位木讷的老师和那位很凶的老师搭班的时候我果断的withdraw了。别说孩子不想去了，我看着都很崩溃，看着一个人在只顾着拍照，另一个只会说教…..所以别太相信他们发出来的照片了，多问问孩子的感受。这也是这家中心为什么孩子越来越少的原因，虽然这家只有十几个孩子，但是在没有爱的环境里，人少也没有意义

Had a quite bad experience during our visit to the centre, the centre doesn't adopt play-based policy and comparing my child behaviour as something 'different' when my child was jumping in the puddle.

My daughter has been attending Mindchamps Mascot for a few years now and absolutely loves it. All of the staff are fantastic, friendly and welcoming. We are very happy with the quality of food / nutrition and the level of care that our daughter receives. Kristina the Director is very approachable and great to deal with. I will also be sending my son to this Centre later in the year when he is ready – I would highly recommend MindChamps Mascot.
