Our daughter is an April baby - so one of the younger ones - and that was a big concern for us about transitioning to Kindy. We quickly learnt that there was no need for any concern as Emma and Ivy were so welcoming and made the transition so smooth and effortless. She now gets so excited knowing it's a Kindy Day and seeing how much she has grown in the time she has been at OLR Kindy is so lovely. As a parent you are always worried about if you have made the right decision for your child and sending her to OLR Kindy was the best decision we have made for her.

The best decision we ever did was move our child to Our Lady of the Rosary Kindergarten. We enrolled in term 2 and from day 1 my child was so excited to be attending. My child has gained so much confidence and learnt so much from attending this kindy as they provided the care and attention 4-5 year old's need ready to start prep. The teachers go above and beyond to ensure each child feels valued and comfortable in their environment and I couldn't recommend this Kindergarten enough. Biggest regret is I didn't enrol my child sooner!
Conveniently located at Our Lady of the Rosary Primary School, your child will benefit from our close relationship with the school. We are located within the school prep building and the children enjoy visiting the playground and our neighbours in prep. The children also make weekly visits to the school library and enjoy attending school events such as sports carnivals and assemblies. Each day your child will become more familiar with the school grounds and and learn new skills such as how to use the water bubblers and where to find the toilets. Our educators will watch your child’s confidence grow as they become part of our broader school and parish community and prepare for school.
At Our Lady of the Rosary we have expansive natural outdoor play areas which provide children with a unique learning environment that encourages creativity and exploration. We believe each child is unique and learns differently, so our educators will spend time getting to know your child and family so we can create engaging learning experiences that capture their interest and help them build new skills.
We offer a Queensland Government approved kindergarten program taught by a university qualified early childhood teacher. As a sessional kindergarten children complete a five-day fortnight, during school hours and school terms. While our kindergarten program runs from 8:30am – 2:45pm, extended hours of care are available for families until 6:00pm.
We welcome children to join our kindergarten programs following their third birthday. If you are concerned whether your child is ready for kindergarten our educators would be happy to discuss this with you and together you can develop a plan to support your child’s tranisiton.
