Our son has improved and learned a lot since joining HECC. We love reading all their consistently updated learning activities. The educators have always been so nice, kind and genuinely cares for the development and wellbeing of the kids. The center is always clean and the food menu are really good too.

Our two kids have been attending Northside Harrison for several years and we are very happy with the service. We are confident they are in a safe and secure environment. Meals are healthy, and the kids always eat them (even when they're picky at home). The educators are patient and professional. We're frequently impressed with the skills and lessons the kids bring home. Highly recommended.

Our family has had a wonderful experience with the centre. The staff are incredibly welcoming, informative and kind. They listened to our needs and were sensitive to the fact that we had just moved to Canberra!

I’ve had two of my kids cared for at this centre, one just in the preschool and one has gone from older nursery and is in older toddlers now. My children feel loved and cherished. The rooms are homey, inviting and eclectic. It’s not Instagram chic as the toys are well used from lots of play, with lots of colours, often sourced from op-shops which I love the sustainability of. The educators are caring and engaged. They’re always very quick to notify me even of minor injuries and flexible to meet the goals of the family (eg toileting or sleep preferences). It’s super helpful that it’s next to the public school and often my little one can see her older siblings playing on the oval and say hello. I get the sense the educators are valued and have a say in the learning of the children as each brings different ideas/activities/songs/routines to the children’s day that enriches their learning. I have no hesitation to recommend this centre to new families. Also one of the more affordable centres around Gungahlin.

Our daughter loves going here, the educators are friendly and genuinely care about the kids. Our daughter is learning and growing so well, and we love it when we get updates on her development. Highly recommend.

Our child has been attending for nearly a year now (currently at nursery level) and we couldn't be happier. The staff are kind, caring and attentive - the facilities are clean and well-maintained. I feel confident leaving my little one in their care knowing they'll receive very warm care and attention in a nurturing environment.

This centre needs urgent attention badly. Its so disappointing how the quality has dropped. Educators not recording eating and sleeping times. Using a dirty old sponge to clean milk bottles in the nursery. The published menu is NOT what they are serving to the children every day. They get jam sandwiches for afternoon tea everyday, even the babies. So nutritious. There are zero stories about your child. I honestly had no idea what my child did every day, because when I asked, I got the generic "she had a good day" and nothing more. Only effort i have seen is a physical book outside the nursery, nothing for toddlers or preschoolers. You only get a generic monthly update with two paragraphs for the class about some themed activity. Even worse is when you get the quarterly summative assessment and it has one sentence for each of the 5 learning outcomes. My child was crying at drop off most mornings and I though she was clingy until she went to a new school and loves going. They use an ipad in the nursery to entertain babies, I don't mean just music, I mean a cartoon video to watch at 8am... You can tell which educators care and which ones don't, this is the saddest part. They say they don't have time to write stories, and yet you rock up early and they are always sitting down outside while the children free play. The positives... They encourage open play activities lile sand, blocks, paint, craft etc. They report and action injuries very quickly. They keep equipment in working order and replace furniture as required. Please PLEASE fix this centre for the sake of the kids! I regret not leaving sooner.

I was struggling to find a childcare for my little one who just got diagnosed with light autism. Harrison childcare was the only one provided service to us. The other childcare just directly told me that they don’t make profit due to covid free childcare, so they don’t take new enrolment even they got available spot. With my son’s medical reason, he desperately need childcare. With Harrison childcare, he even got extra orientation days. Really appreciate the help. Definitely recommend this childcare to anyone.
