The suburb of Ashgrove is famous for its beautiful, traditional ‘timber and tin’ colonial and post-war homes. The centre’s location has allowed us the opportunity to pay homage to this character architecture and develop an extension to the existing Queenslander to create Green Leaves Early Learning Ashgrove Cottage.
Our small, boutique centre caters for just 54 children and is located on a quiet and peaceful street in Ashgrove.
At dropoff, families are offered freshly baked goods and a barista coffee to take away or enjoy in the parent lounge.
Downstairs you’ll find our Nursery Room, while upstairs we have our Toddler and Kindergarten room which each feature their own outdoor play space.
We currently have a music program for all of our three learning hubs. Music is educationally enriching for all ages, as it provides multiple opportunities for children to develop neural pathways on both sides of their brains. Through music, children explore literacy, numeracy, mathematics and self-expression. This is just one of the many incursions we have at the centre.
Green Leaves Ashgrove Cottage offers an approved and funded Kindy program, aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG). Our Kindy program is led by a Bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teacher.

2 years – 3 years

3 Years – 4 Years
Inspiring confident, capable learners through purposeful play, building independence, problem-solving skills, and a love of learning as children prepare for the next stage of their journey.
4 years – 6 years
Empowering children to transition confidently to school with learning programs that strengthen literacy and numeracy foundations, independence, resilience, and social confidence.
Included as part of the daily fee, children enjoy a range of engaging experiences designed to support their learning, wellbeing, and development.
Programs focus on outdoor exploration, sustainability and environmental learning, creative arts, music and movement, language and literacy experiences, and activities that encourage confidence, independence, and school readiness skills.
Children participate in enriching incursions, excursions, and hands-on experiences that inspire curiosity and discovery, alongside nutritious meals and food-related experiences that promote healthy habits. Every experience is thoughtfully designed to nurture each child’s growth while making learning meaningful, engaging, and fun.

At Green Leaves Early Learning, our Centre chefs prepare nutritious, seasonal meals and snacks designed to nourish active, growing bodies. Freshly prepared each day, our meals are created to appeal to children and support a significant portion of their daily nutritional needs. Our Inside Out Program reflects our commitment to premium Chef-led dining experiences that extend beyond providing meals. This holistic food and nutrition initiative supports children to build positive relationships with food, encourages healthy choices, and helps families continue these habits at home.

We have had a lovely experience at Green Leaves Cottage over the past 3 years. The educators are caring, attentive and genuinely invested in our children’s learning. Being a smaller centre means the environment feels personal and community focused which provides us piece of mind when it comes to understanding the needs of our little ones. The rooms are warm, engaging and thoughtfully set up every day. Would highly recommend!

Finding the right centre to send your child to is one of the hardest decisions to make, and from the very beginning, I felt completely supported through the transition. We genuinely felt like we hit the jackpot with childcare at Green Leaves Early Learning Ashgrove Cottage. My daughter, Vallie, has been attending the centre for over two years now, and we truly couldn’t be happier with the care she has received. The teachers are incredible, and Vallie has built such fantastic relationships with every one of them. Gabby, Connor, and Brooke are amazing leaders, and Mel is always so incredibly helpful and supportive. Chef Nic goes above and beyond, not only providing the children with wonderful meals but also treating parents to delicious snacks and coffee at drop-off. Georgia is doing a fantastic job creating such a warm, welcoming, and positive atmosphere throughout the centre. Vallie has made such beautiful friendships, and the parent community is just as lovely, which really adds to how special this centre is. Vallie always feels safe, supported, and happy, giving us complete peace of mind. Without hesitation, when the time comes, we will be sending our second child to Green Leaves Early Learning Ashgrove Cottage. We are so grateful to the entire team and would highly, highly recommend this centre to any family.

I recently toured Greenleaves Ashgrove Cottage, and I was really impressed. The team was warm and welcoming, creating a friendly atmosphere. The facilities were clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed for little ones. I even got to try a snack, which was surprisingly good! Overall, it’s clear that they prioritize both care and quality. Would definitely recommend checking them out!
