Here at Kids Cave Rutherford, we acknowledge the Wonnarua People, the Traditional Custodians of our Land on which we learn and play. We respect multiple cultural ways of knowing, seeing, and living, celebrate the benefits of diversity and have an ability to understand and honour differences. Educators seek to promote children’s cultural competence at our service.    

Our educators dedicate their time to developing and implementing learning programs specific to each individual child and have high expectations for all children as they are able and capable beings.    

In early childhood we work closely with the Early Years Learning Framework which is a curriculum that advocates for play based learning. We are passionate about creating exciting learning opportunities through play as well as giving the children agency in directing their own play experiences.    

We are a community of caring and compassionate educators that believe in developing strong relationships with our children, families, and community. We acknowledge parents as the first teachers in their child’s life and strive to form close partnerships with families to work collaboratively in ensuring each child has the best chance at achieving goals in their learning and development.    

Animals are an integral part of our daily life here at Kids Cave Rutherford. The children play a part in maintaining the care and upkeep of the animals and their living environments. Having the children involved in the care for our animals allows them to develop a range of skills and build a deeper knowledge of living things and the important part they play in our lives.
