At Leylands Learning Centre we believe the early childhood years to be the most significant years in a child’s life. These are the years where the experiences that children are exposed to will help define who they will become.
During these most important years the children’s brain develops the most and fastest than at any other stage of a person’s life. By the age of 2 years old, the brain is about 80% of the adult size!
This is where the foundations for their learning, health and behaviour are shaped. With this belief as our foundation, we base children’s learning on their interests and life experiences which forms the basis of our curriculum, while incorporating The Early Years Learning Framework.
Another belief we hold strongly, is that parents are a child’s first and best teachers. We aim to work together with families in developing our curriculum, to ensure that we are accommodating children and their family’s needs and interests.
