Little Voyagers Early Learning Centre has been such a wonderful experience for our family. I truly appreciate how the centre celebrates the different countries and cultures represented in their community. We were invited to share our own traditions and stories while celebrating our country, which made us feel so welcomed and valued. It’s heartwarming to see children learning about diversity, respect, and inclusion in such meaningful ways. The educators are incredibly professional, caring, and dedicated. I love how they provide daily updates through the OWNA app, it gives me peace of mind while I’m at work knowing exactly how my daughter is doing throughout the day. Their communication is clear and consistent, and it’s evident that they genuinely care for each child’s wellbeing and learning. One of the things I appreciate most is that Little Voyagers is a smaller service. Every educator knows each child personally, and there’s a strong sense of community and belonging. The educators go above and beyond to build trusting relationships, and I can see how much my daughter feels loved and supported there. The extra programs such as School Readiness, Grow Fit, and Cooking Classes are a great addition. My daughter has learned so much and has even started to follow directions and routines more confidently since attending five days a week. Thank you to all the educators for your guidance, patience, and dedication, you’ve made such a positive difference in our child’s growth and confidence.

About Little Voyagers Early Learning Centre Strathfield

Welcome to Little Voyagers Early Learning Centre Strathfield!

A Holistically Informed Approach to Early Childhood Learning

Little Voyagers believe that children obtain the best educational experience through a healthy balance between play-based and structured learning, and this is at the centre of our academic program and curriculum. Designed by an Early Childhood teacher in consultation with Certificate III and diploma-trained educators, our educational curriculum takes a holistic approach to education. Recognising that children have specific emotional needs; we nurture and encourage emotional, social, language, cognitive, spiritual, physical and creative growth.

Drawing upon the Early Years Learning Framework, we take a child-centred approach and utilise intentional teaching. Children are given the opportunity to express their views and unique interests, creating a positive and enriching environment for staff and children alike. Children quickly develop a strong love of learning whilst fostering a sense of independence, two qualities that will last a lifetime. Through non-structured interaction with their peers, they also develop an informed understanding of social interaction, taking turns, resilience, flexibility, determination and curiosity.

Staff take a keen interest in the development of each child, homing in on their personality, strengths and interests to create a rewarding learning experience. Staff often utilise open ended questions to challenge understanding, stimulate debate and inspire new ways of thinking. The ideal balance between intentional teaching moments and spontaneous moments makes for a highly rewarding and enriching experience at Little Voyagers.

Centre philosophy

Centre philosophy

At Little Voyagers ELC, we acknowledge the Bidjigal and Gadigal peoples of the Eora nation, the traditional custodians of the land on which we live, work and play. We pay our respects to the elders past, present and emerging.

Our philosophy draws on the National Quality Standards, Early Years Learning Framework, Code of Ethics and the shared values and beliefs of our Little Voyages Community.

We believe that children’s early experiences and relationships in the first five years of life are critical for their learning and development, and for building strong foundations for the remainder of their lives. Here at Little Voyagers ELC, we are committed to providing high quality education and care in an environment that is safe, nurturing and welcoming for all children and their families.

About the Curriculum

About the Curriculum

Little Voyagers Programs are based on the NSW curriculum framework, as created by the Department of Community Services.

Central to the Framework is the understanding of children’s lives and their connection to family, community, culture and place. Through our programs, we aim to instil a sense of belonging, being and becoming within every child under our care. We recognise that children have strong family, community, culture and place connections which are established before birth. Throughout early childhood, children are exposed to new ideas and concepts through interactions with their family and the wider community. Little Voyagers recognise the family’s role as the original and most influential educator in the lives of children, and we encourage involvement at every stage of your child’s journey. Through participation in our programs and everyday life, children embark on a quest of discovery whilst establishing a lifelong love of learning as they navigate their way through the world.

Kindergarten/Preschool Programs

Kindergarten/Preschool Programs

The transition to school is not always easy for parents and children alike. Through our School Ready Voyagers program, we equip children with the skills and independence necessary to make the process as seamless as possible and give them the best chance of academic success. By nurturing children’s natural curiosity and personal interests, our educators encourage children to develop their skills within a positive and encouraging learning environment.

Children at Little Voyagers quickly develop a high level of self-confidence and the foundations necessary to excel at school and within their everyday lives. We hope to instil a lifelong love of learning within every child, with our educators taking a keen interest in the physical and mental wellbeing of each child and encouraging them to participate to the best of their abilities. Easing into the new routine, demanding tasks, rules and expectations of the school environment can be quite daunting for children. For this reason, we familiarise children with these aspects ahead of time so that they are prepared and eagerly await the next phase of their educational journey.

We’ve had such a wonderful experience with Little Voyagers Strathfield. The variety of programs they offer is amazing and really supports my son’s learning and development. They communicate actively with families and always involve us in sharing our thoughts and feedback, which makes me feel confident and trusting that my son is in good hands. My son is always so happy and excited to go, and he truly enjoys his days there. The educators are incredibly kind and caring, and they always take the time to reflect on his emotions, behaviours, interests, and needs in such an accurate and thoughtful way. A special thank you to Miss Aarati and Miss Roula for always showing such warmth and care to my son. We also really appreciate the whole team’s dedication and support. Thank you for creating such a safe, supportive, and joyful environment for our family!

Starting in 2024, my son will attend this preschool. I thought I had come to the proper place when I first met Mrs. Stacy and Mrs. Madi. A few months later, I looked at my son and told myself that I was right. Together with their relationships with each child's family and their experience, they established a well-thought-out method. There was no longer any turmoil, and my kid went to preschool every day with joy. Eventually, I could see how much he had grown in all areas. However, I was informed last year that their provider would be switching. I wanted to switch the preschool because I was concerned about my son's future, but I was afraid to do so, so I kept him at the same one. However, I am now pleased with my choice because Ms. Deena and Mrs. Arathi are both incredibly kind and considerate. They are highly familiar with all children, so I can discuss anything pertaining to my son with them. With all of their help, my son quickly adopted it within a few months, despite the fact that their systems are slightly different. There aren't enough words to express my gratitude. Ms. Deena, Mrs. Arathi, Mrs. Roula, Ms. Ridana and the entire crew, thank you so much.
