Hello! I’m Cherry from Hong Kong, and as a registered teacher with over ten years of experience, most of which was spent as an art teacher in Hong Kong. I’ve developed a deep passion for teaching and creating meaningful learning experiences. I also completed my Master of Early Childhood Education at Flinders University, and I’ve taught in mainstream primary schools, early learning centres, and kindergartens.
In my native Cantonese, “HoYeah” means “things are amazing” or “hooray!”—and it’s the perfect way to express my view on each child and every special moment we share together. I believe that life is full of moments to celebrate. I chose this name to reflect my love for cultural diversity and to honour my heritage.
My focus is on fostering a connection with each child through personalized education. I aim to offer high-quality learning experiences while following the interests of the children, making education feel natural and engaging. I believe in the transformative power of play, curiosity, and love, and I strive to create a space where children feel supported, understood, and encouraged to explore.
My goal is to provide a welcoming and nurturing environment where children can grow at their own pace, whether through art, nature, storytelling or even cooking experiences. With small-group teaching, I can give each child the attention they need to truly shine and develop their natural curiosity.
HoYeah is a place where every day is a celebration of learning, discovery, and kindness. I’m excited to meet you and your family, and I look forward to supporting your child’s joyful and meaningful learning journey.
Thank you for considering HoYeah Family Day Care!
