would not recommend this childcare centre. The staff turnover is extremely concerning, around 10 staff have left in just two months, which creates a very unstable environment for the children. There are also serious hygiene issues. I’ve seen cockroaches in the babies’ prep kitchen, and it’s clear that general cleaning and washing are not being maintained to an acceptable standard. For a place responsible for young children, both consistency in staff and cleanliness should be a priority, and unfortunately that has not been my experience here.

UPDATE 2026: Our daughter is thriving & loves her daycare educators & the facilities- though we have had ups & downs over the past few years, overall a really positive experience- thanks LVEEC team!! We appreciate your care & attention to providing an inclusive & caring approach to education & toddler/kindy kids care :) Would recommend the educators & facility! 2025 review- Pros: Excellent educators & great facilities where our daughter enjoys each day at daycare & is reluctant to leave at pick up! I love that they use the Reboot program to help kids understand their feelings & encourage them to do things to help boost their mood or calm their frustration :) I also love that they ask what our goals for our kids are & help us achieve these. Our daughter’s confidence & knowledge has grown greatly thanks to the staffs care & education!!! Cons: a times it appears that the staff to child ratio is not high enough & injury or unwanted behaviours are missed or not intervened. They are showing some improvement with feedback, which is good.

Our son commenced daycare at LVEEC last year when we relocated to the Valley, and we’ve had an incredibly positive experience overall. Our boy had not previously settled all that well into daycare, so we give full credit to the patience and persistence of the Centre’s educators, especially Miss ‘Cinta!’ for helping him settle in his new room. It’s so important kids establish a trusted bond with someone in a daycare environment, and she has put lots of effort in to make him feel safe, comfortable, and settled. We also want to extend a huge thanks to Ms’ Rose, Bec, and Savannah for their consistent wonderful work with our boy - but all the staff around him deserve credit. The owner Caitlin has been welcoming from day one, and we’re really thankful to her. The centre’s Bush Kindy programme is terrific and we love seeing our little guy explore nature within a safe environment. We’re also loving seeing him take part in lots of immersive hands-on activities - like cooking and gardening. He loves giving us a chatty update on the drive home. We also want to acknowledge LVEEC for their care when we’ve raised concerns around children’s online safety and privacy, and we enormously respect their recent decision to go fully face-free online to protect all our kids’ privacy. Such a great step forward if we want to prioritise their safety 👏👏 We’ve only observed a potential area of improvement regarding child-staff ratios - on the odd occasion drop-off can seem a tad chaotic when the ratio seems off. But we also fully acknowledge that admin has a tricky job coordinating fill-ins when staff require leave short notice and relief isn’t immediately available. This probably speaks more of the childcare industry’s staffing shortfall rather than internal issues at LVEEC specifically — it certainly occurred at his old Brisbane daycare too. Overall we’re incredibly happy we enrolled our son into LVEEC and have loved watching him flourish there. Keep up the wonderful work team ❤️

Our family has had a wonderful experience at Lockyer Valley Early Education. The service really embraces the community feel of living in a farming town. The children are encouraged to explore, play outdoors and get messy in nature, which we absolutely love. It’s so nice to see a centre that truly lets kids be kids while learning through hands-on experiences. We also really appreciate the excursions they organise for all age groups. It’s fantastic to see the children getting out into the community and experiencing new things, not just the older children. It makes learning exciting and gives them opportunities they might not otherwise have. Our children also love the family style dining and the meals that are provided. It’s a great way for them to sit together, try different foods and build independence. Overall, we’ve been very happy with the care and opportunities provided to our children.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience at this daycare centre. From the very beginning of our journey, the staff have been warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring, which made the transition so much easier for both our children and us as parents. It’s clear that the educators are not only highly qualified but also truly passionate about what they do. The environment is clean, safe, and thoughtfully set up with engaging activities that support learning through play. We’ve noticed such positive growth in both our children’s confidence, social skills, and curiosity since starting here. The daily updates and open communication give us great peace of mind, as we always know how our child is doing. What stands out most is the sense of community. Everyone knows each child individually and takes the time to nurture their unique personality and needs. We feel incredibly lucky to have found a place where our children are so happy and well cared for. Highly recommend to any parent looking for a supportive, professional, and loving daycare environment.

Amazing Centre! All staff made my child and family feel so welcome from the day we started, every educator even the ones not in my child’s room always greeted and knew our names. Management were always happy to help and assist with any questions. The educators are so caring and friendly I could not recommend this centre enough!

My daughter is loving Kindy and loves telling us stories about her day, the teachers are friendly and supportive. We have had a fantastic experience with the centre. We love all the extra activities that they offer with swimming, excursions and dental checks. Highly recommend if you are looking for a fun and supportive day care centre.

We are so happy with the service we receive from this centre. My daughter has been attending for roughly 18 months now and has formed such beautiful bonds with the educators in the rooms she has been in. Transitions to the next room up, as she has grown, have never been an issue. They are taken slowly to ensure she is always feeling happy, safe and loved. My daughter and I are always greeted by first name with a friendly smile by all of the staff. Any concern that I have raised has been dealt with promptly and professionally. We love the themed days to dress up throughout the year and the fact that all the staff get involved. It's just an overall fun, modern and loving and caring environment for children to grow and learn. We highly recommend Lockyer Valley Early Education Centre 👌

What is a Top Rated Centre? A top rated centre must have 5 star average reviews rating, as well as 'Exceeding' or 'Excellent' NQS rating. The National Quality Standards are a set of national benchmarks for early childhood education and care services. It includes seven quality areas like "Children's health and safety" and "Educational program and practice".
Criteria:
The National Quality Standard (NQS) is part of the National Quality Framework (NQF), introduced to enhance the quality of early childhood education and care services in Australia. Developed by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA), the NQS provides a benchmark for childcare services, from long day care and family day care to preschools, kindergartens, and outside school hours care. Under the NQS, childcare services are assessed and rated for the quality of education and care they provide. These ratings give parents a clear understanding of how well a service meets national standards, helping them make the best choice for their child’s needs.
Our average ratings are calculated from authentic parent reviews submitted directly on the Care for Kids website, as well as reviews on Google.
