I’m a new family daycare educator but have worked in early ed since 2015. I made the switch from another service provider to W.C. When you have worked in the early ed sector as long as I have you hear about quality providers. W.C is one of them. West coast is a quality provider. The women are experienced service providers who do more than process Centrelink subsidies for their educators. I made the switch to west coast after being really taken back by the competitive parent levy and all the additional resources/programs educators could use. My biggest reason to switch was West Coast had matching values as me Respecting the child and valuing quality education and care for our youngest community members. Clearly education and respect for the child is at the heart of what they do. One example of this is the QUALITY resource book they have on embedding culture in your fdc. Made for West Coast educators. (Any educator knows this can be quite challenging to do sensitively) I’ve already implemented a lot from this resource) They offer suggestions, guidance, programming and planning support and much more to their educators. For parents this is what your Childs experience is based off. Keeping a steam of communication has so far been east with online programs, call, text and email. enrolling for parents was painless and much quicker than the previous fdc service provider I used. As a passionate educator and now business owner. I heard about dodgy services and being with a provider that knows their stuff is extremely Important. I feel confident that a great example of a quality provider is West Coast. Educators - Don’t risk the huge fines that come with being under supported or led astray by service providers. Go to someone who supports educators to strive for quality and knows regulations ect. Parents- think of a family daycare service as the structural support of your child’s family daycare. They oversee the office side. They help guide your child’s educator to best practise, understanding legal requirements, documentation assistance, meeting regulations around safety and your child’s well-being. By looking at a quality fdc service provider, you know they only take on high quality educators who meet their expectations. Whilst continually mentoring them to be consistently working toward the highest standard.

Brodie and Kathryn are nothing short of amazing. The support they give when you need it is unmatched. Both ladies are not only amazing at keeping all the educators and families up-to-date but they do it with such style. I was operating my family daycare just under a year with another service, before I made the decision to move over to West Coast Family Daycare Services. The only regret I have was that I didn't do it sooner. The ladies here are always so helpful and on the other end of the phone when you need them. They are always friendly to talk to and make you feel relaxed when asking those "silly questions" that we all have. They are passionate about their jobs and value their educator's very much. During the covid-19 saga they really put up a great fight for us educator's on how unfairly we were treated by the government. They 100% have our backs. They understand how hard it can be to be a working mum and run your own family daycare. I do not feel like one of their numbers, I feel like we are one big team. I would highly recommend this service if you are thinking about changing schemes. You won't regret it.
