About Little Foundations Early Learning Centre

Little Foundations Early Learning is a family owned and operated service operating 52 weeks a year that strives to provide our families with the highest quality care by providing a nurturing, fun, engaging and safe environment.

We provide play based developmental programs designed to stimulate and set the foundation for children’s education while equipping each child with an appreciation and thirst for learning. In addition to motivating the mind, we feel it is important to nurture the body. Hence, we provide high quality healthy nutritional meals that your child will find both tasty and appealing, and a variety of outdoor activities to further develop each child’s gross motor skills.

We see you, your child, our educators and our larger community as connected threads that, when woven together mindfully, create the fabric of learning. We deliver the highest quality care and early education for your child, combining best practice professional teachers with stimulating learning programmes and a commitment to community.

We believe learning is most effective when delivered in a caring, nurturing space that supports children to explore their world through play and use their imagination to learn.

We believe a loving atmosphere and learning through play helps children establish their own strong identity and make healthier connections with the world around them. Through shared experiences, they gain a sense of belonging and begin to develop empathy for all living beings and non-living things.

We support and encourage our families to be active contributors and participants in our centre as we believe this partnership assists in the development of a child to fulfil their full potential.

We look forward to assisting you with your queries.

Our Philosophy

Little Foundations ELC is committed to creating a secure, home like environment that is warm, friendly, relaxed and an open atmosphere which is stimulating. We are a multi-cultural centre and believe that the diversity of cultures, practices and beliefs among children, families, staff of our centre and in the local community defines who we are.

We Believe…

Role of Children: “Children are individuals and competent learners”
Children are respected and viewed as competent, capable, curious, and natural researchers who are full of knowledge, potential and interested in connecting to the world around them. We strive to build trusting relationships with all children, to enhance each child’s sense of belonging and wellbeing, which in turn supports each child’s holistic development.

Children’s voices:“I want to learn about everything!”
“I like to learn about my body”, “I like to learn about gardening” and so on.

Embracing Diversity: “Everyone is treated with equity”
We recognise and celebrate diversity, abilities, differences and strongly respect and value children’s cultural and religious backgrounds. Children become aware that they belong to many cultures and communities, including the Darug people on whose land we learn, broadening their understanding and awareness of the world in which they live. Children believe they learn best about different cultures by celebrating them with friends and family and engaging in related activities.

Role of Families/community: “Families are our partners”
We acknowledge families are a child’s first teacher and respect their decisions, values, beliefs, and cultural diversity. We believe that when there is a collaborative respectful partnership between all parties then everyone benefits. We value parent feedback and suggestions with sharing of ideas, skills, and family input forms.

Promoting Sustainability: “We care for our planet”
We believe in developing sustainable practices throughout the service. As educators we intentionally teach sustainable practice to allow young children to become responsible global citizens of tomorrow. Children said that they love their planet and want to look after it by recycling, growing plants, keeping it clean and learning new ways to keep it beautiful.

Learning Environment: “The environment is a child’s third teacher”
Providing safe, secure, and nurturing indoor and outdoor learning spaces that encourage exploration, observation, imagination, and problem solving. We strive to enrich and stimulate children’s learning environment that facilitates the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development of a child. We are guided by the principles of being, Belonging and Becoming, the NQF and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). Children believe that they learn best with teachers through play, using prowise, different set ups indoors and outdoors.

An Emergent Learning Process: “Learning is a journey”
Children have their own learning styles, strengths, interests, and we encourage and promote this through play- based learning. They believe that they learn best by practising, being with their friends, playing with toys and talking to the teachers. Our curriculum is influenced by children where their ideas and decision forms the basis of our program.

Valuing educators: “Collaboration and commitment to professional development”
As Educators we value one another’s contributions and reflect upon ourselves and practices and value the need for ongoing professional development. As professionals we are guided by the Early Childhood

A family owned childcare centre with many years of experience in operating and managing childcares. We have been successfully building centres from the ground up to be pillars of their communities and safe spaces for families to thrive. With centres from Eastwood to multiple centres in the Kellyville and the hills district they believe and embody the notion that all children should have the right to quality education and care and should feel accepted, loved, valued and empowered.

A Letter from Our Director

Dear Families,

I am so thrilled to see that you are considering joining our Little Foundations family.

As a parent of two children, I understand the immense care and careful consideration that goes into the decision to find the best place for our children. This journey is one I have personally taken in the past. This is why at Little Foundations, we’ve made it our mission to go beyond the standard childcare experience. We aim to create a safe haven for our families, offering them the comfort and assurance of exceptional, personalized care.

We love what we do! Inspired by theorists like Bandura and Gardner, we believe that children learn best through social interactions and that as educators, we play a significant role during these crucial years in forming a solid foundation for their future.

Having stood in your shoes, I want to assure you that I know what it takes to make this place a home away from home. Here, your children will feel loved and nurtured while also being provided with opportunities to grow and thrive in a safe and inclusive environment.

Warm regards,
Shilpa Goswami

Environmental Programmes

At Little foundations Early Learning Centre we are dedicated to doing our part. Our sustainability program incorporates science-based fun educational incursions with in centre discussions and curriculums. We incorporate sustainable practices in everything we do and encourage our children to learn about, respect and contribute to the world we live in throughout the centre environment.

Health and Nutrition

We believe that a flourishing mind and an active body need the right nutritional value to nourish the development and growth of our children. This is why at our centre we have a professionally qualified chef that works along side our families to carefully design and prepare a menu that is not only yummy, but good for you too!

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

We believe an early introduction to STEM enables children to become confident learners as they move into primary school and beyond. STEM at Little foundations takes children out of the classroom and into the world around them, giving them the opportunity to investigate, manipulate and experiment with a wide range of resources and materials that develop the concepts, skills and dispositions that are important for science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

School Readiness

Our School Readiness Program involves daily experiences that are based on the children’s current topics of interests and learning. The program has been designated to combine the use of worksheets, along with hands-on experiences which merge the primary school outcomes of the NSW Curriculum & Syllabuses with the emergent curriculum of Early Childhood philosophy and practice.

Incursions

We are passionate about providing our children with as many experiences as possible to broaden their understanding of the world around them and their connection to it. (Being, belonging and becoming EYLF) One way we do this is through our incursion and excursion initiative which provides the opportunity for our children to be involved with the community as well as the world around them.

My son and our whole family are going to miss this preschool so much! 🤗 The staff, especially Hardeep, are truly amazing. They've taught him so much, and he's definitely ready for big school. We appreciate the help and support they've provided, even the staff not in his room. The facilities are fantastic – big, clean, and perfect for learning through play. An Tikkii the turtle….what a great way to learn about animals.

I was fortunate enough to find a spot for my two young sons, and the quality of the service and the facilities here are everything that I hoped for. Shilpa is heaven-sent. She is both warm and highly professional, and I take great comfort in knowing that my boys are in good hands.

My almost 4 year old twin boys, have been attending this daycare for almost an year now, and we are very happy with the experience . The staff is incredibly warm and caring, which made the transition so much easier for both the kids and us as parents. A special mention to Miss Swetha — she’s an absolute favorite for both of them! While I always have a difficult drop off for my boys, she make sure they are happy and receive a warm welcome. They also have extracurricular activities like soccer. My twins love the soccer time with coach Jeremy.

Response from the owner 11 Aug 2025

Dear Sanjana, Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for trusting us with your boys over the past year! We are thrilled to hear that they feel welcomed, cared for, and happy in our centre. It means a lot to us that you appreciate the warmth and dedication of our educators — we’ll be sure to pass along your lovely words to Miss Shweta, who will be so delighted to hear she’s a favourite! We’re also glad the boys enjoy our extracurricular activities like soccer with Coach Jeremy — it’s such a joy to see them active, engaged, and having fun while developing their skills. We truly value your partnership and look forward to continuing to support your children’s growth, learning, and happiness in the years ahead.
