My son has been attending Karuna for quite a while now and it is absolutely fantastic. We literally couldn’t imagine anywhere better for him to be. The environment is calm, homely, considered, and supports his learning. The outdoor space is wonderful. Above all, the staff are absolutely incredible. They teach him ‘academic’ skills, but also values, ethics, and how to hold himself. A tiny example is that when he arrives and leaves he must shake the teachers hand, say good morning/afternoon, and keep eye contact. Small details like this matter. We couldn’t be happier.

It is an environment where Amelia can genuinely thrive, not just academically but emotionally and socially as well. There is something very grounding about the space. Karuna Montessori is a wonderful school tucked away in a beautiful part of the northern beaches. We’ve been part of this community for two years now through preschool and kindergarten, and the transition from traditional daycare was night and day. Instead of a hectic environment, we found a calm, nurturing space where our daughter feels completely at ease. It has been a joy to watch her develop her independence and curiosity through the Montessori curriculum. Seeing her work together with her peers so confidently and watch her leadership skills grow has been honestly amazing. The staff are incredibly supportive and dedicated to the Montessori philosophy, we can’t wait for our son to start. We feel so lucky to have found this school and recommend without hesitation.

Karuna Montessori is an absolute gem and we are thrilled to have found it for our daughter who has been enrolled now for two years. The classroom, the beautiful grounds, and the teachers feel like a home away from home for her, and the wider staff and parent community feels like one big family. What struck us most when we visited the school was how calm and comfortable the children were - the antithesis from what we had experienced at day care. It allows the children to explore their surroundings with confidence and it bears witness in how our daughter has blossomed, and developed both socially and academically. The school is focused on instilling Montessori principals and fostering a sense of independence and curiosity in the children. It's a real joy to see them navigate the materials and their work together, calmly and with confidence. The varied enrollment options provide enormous flexibility and coverage for even the busiest families. We couldn't recommend it highly enough!

Karuna is a wonderful little preschool in Narraweena which has been perfect for our daughter this past year. The educators are professional, experienced and nurturing and the kids really respond well to them. They spend time learning about the world around them and have amazing creative art projects every week. There is a wide range of activities from yoga to cooking to gardening and they really make the most of the outside time in the beautiful garden. There is a real sense of community at Karuna, the fact it is only a small preschool means all the kids are very close. There are many opportunities for parents and grandparents to come and see what they have been working on or to celebrate special days. You can see how proud the kids are of their work and their school when families come to visit. I would highly recommend Karuna to anyone looking to give their kids a great start at a very caring preschool. I only wish we had started my daughter here earlier!

We are so happy we found Karuna. We were familiar with the Montesorri curriculum but new to Sydney so wanted a school and community where our family could thrive. The environment is beautiful and peaceful - inside and out - with amazing equipment and facilities for the kids to explore. A great balance between learning and playing. Just what we wanted in a preschool! We can’t wait to send our three daughters here. Highly recommend.

Karuna is such a nurturing, peaceful little preschool. We love that it has a maximum of 30 children, the educators are so caring and experienced and the approach they use really sets them up for life. The grounds are beautiful with a huge, shady grass outdoor area, their own garden and worm farm to tend, paths to ride tricycles, mud kitchen and water table to explore, massive covered sandpit to dig in, wooden play equipment to climb and lots of sports equipment to keep them active. The indoor environment is really well resourced with all the engaging Montessori materials as well as regular music, art, cooking, sport, science and language lessons. The parent community is fabulous, supportive and inclusive. Our son loves going here and has grown so much in confidence and independence since starting. Highly recommend!

Such a wonderful environment for children and fantastic educators who are so passionate for what they do. My son is thriving in the environment and I love the community feeling and small class sizes.
