I echo the recent review, I paid the $60 deposit with center director on 16/05/2025 with a promise from the centre director that for my kid to start 3 years old kinder there in 2026. She said because family are choosing sessional, definitely there will be a spot avaliable for her if I am flexible with days (which I am). I called several times, and each time, the answer is always the same, we will know soon and call back again. I've also asked how far down am I in the waitlist. They also said in May 2025, not far, just a few people. This wait list cost is borderline a scam. $60 is not a small amount of money, and that's after you fill in the document yourself and then then file it. Don't be fooled by their waiting system. If there is no immediate spot, don't bother. They are better centre out there. By the way, I have lodged a consumer complaint against this childcare. Their waitlist charge of $60 is misleading and unlawful. They should be contacting anyone who can not secure a place after a 12 months wait for a refund. Update: I have spoken to the Australian Consumer Commission, and the waitlist fee of $60 is against Australian consumer law Section 62 of the Australian Consumer Law — guarantee to supply services within a reasonable time; and Section 36 of the Australian Consumer Law — accepting payment in circumstances where services are not supplied within a reasonable timeframe. Everyone who has paid the deposit who did not receive the offer can request a refund.

Echoing all the other reviews here. They never call back or reply any messages. They just take your deposit money and run. It’s been ages for us too with them refusing to return any phonecalls. “Oh the person in charge is away”. Yeah sure, away 24/7 365 days a year. In my opinion there is something seriously wrong with their admin and the way their operations run is really poor

A former family of Creative play with an ongoing relationship who was on the waiting list and offered a position when there was availability. Always vigilant with communication along the way. Families always willing to wait and be patient for an exceeding Early learning service that has been a reputable service in Manningham area for over 18 years. My eldest daughter is 16 years old and still asks to drop in everytime we drive past. A waiting list for a parent of 3 children is always a good sign of a worthy environment to entrust with the care of your kids. Without hesitation i would highly recommend Creative Play.

Like everyone else who took a tour here, we put down the deposit money as they told us that there will be some spots available in the new year for our child’s age group. As the time grew near, we tried calling them several times to inquire about our position on the waitlist. Conveniently for them, the person in charge of the waitlist and admissions is always “on leave” every time you call. They never call you back even though they assure that the person in charge will be back “tomorrow” and that you will certainly receive a callback “tomorrow”. ‘Tomorrow’ never comes for them. In fact, I doubt this person exists. If they do exist, they are probably just chilling in Fiji year round using all of the money the parents have wasted on their waitlist deposit. You think this is an exaggeration? Well it isn’t because just take a look at all the other reviews for this place. I honestly shouldn’t have expected as much from these people seeing as that they couldn’t even be bothered to run their international greeting sign through a proper translator. There are words on their sign outside that they think means “hello” or “welcome” in other languages but actually means “hallucination”. Someone who doesn’t even put an ounce of effort into this basic thing that even a child could do is clearly not fit to run an educational institution. They look like they want to be inclusive and diverse but in reality they just want a diverse group of people take money from. To all of the parents out there who are trying to find a proper childcare, do yourself a favour and skip this place. Parents, ask yourself this: If they can’t even reply a phonecall or email from someone who donated them money, then what makes you think they will even call you if an incident happens to your child at the centre?

Waitlisted my child in early 2023, took a deposit from us and still waiting for a response or any contact nearly 3 years later.
