We feel very lucky to have found Edithvale Family and Children Centre. The educators in the Rosella Room have been so warm, caring and patient with our child, and it really gives us peace of mind knowing they are in such kind and supportive hands. We especially appreciate the way the educators take the time to get to know each child and make the room feel safe, welcoming and happy.<br><br>The receptionist staff are also always lovely, approachable and helpful. Whenever we have a question or need support with something, they are friendly and responsive, which makes the whole experience much easier for us as parents.<br><br>We are genuinely grateful for all the care, attention and support our family has received from the centre. It has made such a positive difference to our child’s experience, and we would happily recommend Edithvale Family and Children Centre to other families.

Couldn't speak more highly of the staff, management and educators at EFCC - Our daughter has attended EFCC for the past couple of years and is absolutely thriving in the environment the team at EFCC have developed. There is a good educator to child ratio and always someone available to talk through any concerns or queries you might have. Our daughter looks forward to her days at EFCC.

Our child has felt very welcome here from day 1. The front desk and educators are very approachable and professional. Our youngest child has recently been accepted too and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend for those considering.

We absolutely love Edithvale Family and Children’s Centre! Our 2.5-year-old attends the Under 3s room and genuinely loves going.<br><br>Since starting, we’ve seen him grow so much, particularly with his talking, confidence and independence. All the educators are incredibly caring and always take the time to tell us about his day, which makes us feel comfortable and reassured that he is happy and well looked after.<br><br>The whole centre feels warm, welcoming and safe, the facilities are lovely, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience.

We’ve been part of this centre for over four years now, and I honestly couldn’t speak more highly of it.<br><br>Although it’s a large centre, it never feels impersonal. From the moment you walk in, everyone is so friendly and welcoming, and the staff make such an effort to get to know each child and family.<br><br>The educators are incredibly nurturing, attentive and inclusive. They work so well together as a team, but each of them also brings their own personality and their own special way of caring for and connecting with the children.<br><br>Over the years, the beautiful staff have really come to feel like an extended family to us. We feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful place for our children!

We had high expectations after being on the waiting list for 18 months, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing. The centre does not have CCTV in the rooms. They say this is for privacy, but there are ways to ensure both safety and privacy. Without it, if something happens, there is no way to properly understand or review the situation—which we experienced with our child. The staff are friendly, but I expected more attentiveness, especially for a new child settling in. Children up to 3 years share the same play area, which is a safety risk for younger ones. Also, despite the 1:4 ratio, having 20+ children in one space makes it hard for kids to build close relationships with educators and feel settled. There is no online system to update parents on meals, sleep, or nappies, and no regular photo updates, which makes it harder to stay informed. After a few days, our child was clearly unsettled and we decided to withdraw. However, the centre showed no flexibility with the 4-week notice period, despite having a long waiting list.It was disappointing that they were not willing to accommodate this, especially when another family could have taken the spot. Overall, while the staff are kind, several key issues made this centre not the right fit for us.
