We loved this child care centre so much that we only send our baby (now toddler) here now, and pulled her out of her part-time daycare elsewhere. I still can’t believe my luck at finding such a great place! The difference was day and night between sending our little one here versus her last daycare, she wasn’t crying at drop-off, and was instead happy to be there! And soooo many advantages too, like not paying for public holidays, able to cancel without paying by 3pm the day before if needed, illness is WAY rarer in this much-smaller centre, and a small dedicated staff (rather than new faces all the time). Seeing another review about the office lady being “rude”, I can’t even imagine any of the wonderful staff being rude, sounds like a misunderstanding. Also it’s only a tiny centre that’s run as a not-for-profit, so admin is done by child carer staff (which I see as a bonus, the kids have extra staff and are the priority!!).

The Whitford family centre is a community based facility, that offer a range of programs for adults and children. We offer Pre Kindy programs from 2 to 4 years old. Our Pre Kindy program follows the Early Years Learning framework and is socialisation based and focus on children learning through play in a fun and stimulating environment while preparing children for their journey into school. Children are encouraged to participate in a wide range of activities incorporating music, dramatic play, arts, science and math. Our program enhances children's self steem, encourages respect for people's cultural diversities in an inclusive environment. These support age appropiate learning and help children develop their gross and fine motor skills, language ability and cognitive processing. All of our long serving educators with more than 20 years of experience hold a diploma in child services and working with children.
