We’ve had a very positive experience with Highfield School. The teachers and staff are caring, approachable and genuinely committed to supporting each child’s individual development.<br><br>What we particularly appreciate is the balance between strong academic learning and helping children build confidence, independence and social skills. Communication with families has also been thoughtful and responsive, and we feel that the school really takes the time to understand each child rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.<br><br>Our son has enjoyed his time at Highfield and has grown in confidence and maturity. We’re very grateful for the support he has received and would happily recommend the school to other families.

Two of our children attended Highfields through to the end of Year 2, and we have such fond memories of their time there.<br><br>What really stood out to us was the genuine care the teachers had for the children. It’s a small school where they felt known, safe and like they truly belonged. It gave them a great space to try new things, build confidence and grow at their own pace.<br><br>The Year 2 leadership opportunity was a real highlight. Our two children were fortunate to attend Highfields from pre-school through to Year 2 and loved their time there.<br><br>They had wonderful, genuinely caring teachers and benefited greatly from the small and nurturing environment through those early school years.<br><br>Highfields fostered their curiosity and love of learning and supported them in developing problem solving and mindset skills that continue to benefit them both within and outside the classroom. They were also afforded the chance to experience leadership in Year 2, a unique and cherished opportunity.<br><br>Beyond that, the sense of community and belonging at the school was a joy to be part of for the children, and us as parents. We all think of our time at Highfields with great fondness and gratitude.

Highfields Preparatory School provides a truly nourishing and supportive learning environment where children are encouraged to grow with confidence and curiosity. We especially value its inquiry-based approach, which recognises each child as an individual and supports their unique development, interests and strengths. My son was a graduate of Highfields some years ago now, he just finished HSC recently. We must thank Highfields. Highfields was where he started his learning journey. Highfields gave him a great first impression of what learning is like, and that had greatly helped his subsequent journey throughout the primary and high school years. I hope Highfields' approach can be adopted in more schools, it is a role model for early childhood education, as it looks after a child's emotional, social and intellectual development.

Our three children went through Highfields, and we cannot speak more highly of our 10 years there. The Highfields experience is truly unique — a journey that prepared our children to move confidently on to their next school, both as learners and in terms of character.<br><br>As a family, we felt a strong sense of belonging and connection. We enjoyed volunteering and being involved in various ways within the school community, and gained lifelong friends along the way. Our children formed close bonds with their peers and were incredibly well supported in both their learning and social development, in the classroom and in the playground.<br><br>An inquiry-based learning environment, inviting learning spaces both indoors and outdoors, and inspiring educators meant our children went off to school happy, were engaged throughout the day, and had opportunities to develop as leaders too.<br><br>Our eldest is now in Year 12. We recently enjoyed a gathering of ‘old Highfielders’ from his 2019 cohort. We all took a trip down memory lane, reminiscing about the happy times we shared during those early years of our children’s education.<br><br>We are so grateful that our children spent their formative early years of schooling at Highfields. It gave them such a wonderful foundation — academically, socially and personally — and we will always look back on our time there with enormous gratitude.

We’ve had a wonderful experience with Highfields and couldn’t recommend the school highly enough.<br><br>What stands out most is the genuine investment the school makes in each child — from the way the school is managed to the care, attention and encouragement shown by every teacher. You can really feel that the teachers know the children as individuals and care about their growth.<br><br>Our child has learned much more than basic academic and everyday life skills here. Highfields has helped him develop his creativity, confidence, independence and, importantly, how to interact with and care for others. Values such as “be kind to people” and “sharing is caring” are not just taught as words, but reinforced through everyday experiences.<br><br>We’ve seen such positive growth in him during his time at Highfields, both in what he can do and in the kind of person he is becoming.<br><br>If Google allowed six stars, we would happily give Highfields six. Leo started Kindy at Highfields in February this year, and we feel incredibly lucky and grateful that he was offered a place here.<br><br>We have been so impressed with his development, not only academically, but also in his confidence, behaviour and social skills. His teachers are extremely responsible, caring and attentive, and the support they have given Leo has made such a big difference to him.<br><br>Leo is a sensitive child who really values attention, encouragement and reassurance. Since starting at Highfields, we have seen him become noticeably happier, more open and much more confident. It means so much to us to know that he is understood, supported and treated with such genuine care at school.<br><br>We are truly thankful to all of his teachers for everything they have done for Leo.
