Maria is a fantastic educator and provides exceptional care for all the children in her care. Our daughter (2.5 years) is delighted to be in her care. Maria provides many learning opportunities for the children including excursions to parks, library, school and incursions at home to develop their skills including drawing/painting, music, body movement and balance, and also STEM learning opportunities. Maria truly stands out to us because she takes an extra effort to understand, support and cater to the needs of her kids. Some key examples: 1. Our daughter was delayed in walking as a baby due to a fracture in her leg and diagnosed with hypermobility, and Maria sought the physiotherapy program given to us and specially helped with our daughter's mobility including balancing and walking. 2. Maria noticed that our daughter is good with languages and is able to speak very well and she has been teaching our daughter Spanish and has encouraged us to teach her at home as well. Additionally, Maria has encouraged our daughter to speak her second language (Sinhalese) and has learnt key Sinhala words to support our daughter in her development 3. Maria is extremely observant and notices key areas of emotional regulation and support (eg. When our girl's baby brother arrived!) and helps guide parents to support the transition. Maria goes above and beyond to support her children and families - she is an exceptional educator and I can confidently say that there is no one else like her!! Thank you Maria for all that you do.

Our 2 energetic boys have thrived in the supportive, nurturing, play-based environment Maria has created. Maria is a wonderful caring educator who has developed deep connections with our children and often our kids don't want to leave when we pick them up. Our boys have beautiful stories and friendships with the other children, and they love being able to continue to spend the day together as brothers in a safe, engaging, home environment. We are grateful for the daily excursions to the school and park to get our boys out in nature and the boys love the special trips to the museums, library and aged care home. Maria also creates wonderful creative memories for all occasions. She communicates well, keeping us updated on all aspects of our children's development while with her and she has worked with us through a number of the normal baby/toddler challenges we've had. I am in awe of her calm nature. I would highly recommend her as an educator for anyone looking for a place and educator to become an extension of your own home and family. I know our boys will miss her dearly when they go to school.

My family and I are so lucky and feel so grateful to have found Luna Family Day Care run by Maria. She is the warmest, kindest person and has become a beautiful part of our family. Our son has been attending Luna FDC for almost a year now and we couldn’t be happier with the experience for both him & our family. Maria is warm, kind, supportive & nurturing towards all the children in her care. She encourages creativity, engages the children in lots of outdoor play & always focuses on the individual child’s interests & needs. We’ve worked as a team on all the various toddler obstacles that have come our way from changes in nap patterns, behavioural & developmental needs, health concerns etc. which has really helped us manage things more smoothly. I had 2 children cared by Maria. The adjustment was a breeze, children were happy from first until last day. Maria made sure to adjust the every day activities for every child individually. Her home was truly my children's home. Maria is the most nurturing person you will ever meet. She was proud of my children's accomplishments like her own's. communication with Maria was beautiful and her daily reports were very detailed. She exceeded all my requirements and raised a bar very high for any future carers of my children.

Our experience at Luna FDC was exceptional. Our little girl felt love and safety being with Maria. I love the experiences she allowed them to have going to the local library, parks and events and playgroups. The children always seem to collect treasures along the way. On many occasions they would visit the Museum and the botanical gardens whenever they were able. Maria has developed a great relationship with our daughter and takes great interest in her needs and interests. I love the way the Maria is lead by what the children are leaning on doing, she has set up a fantastic interactive play area that the children do imaginative play. Maria is very professional in keeping parents involved and updated on photos on the developments the children do during the day this is great way to keep us in the loop of these special little moments. She is great and the variety of activities that the children do every day is great. Our daughter has developed a very good understanding of Spanish spending time with Maria. My Son Developmental delay and he has been for more than 1 year at Luna FDC, I'm so confident leaving my son to enjoy and improve his learning. Maria has an experience with kids special needs focus in teach them to be independents, improve his fine motors skills, concentration in activities and playing outdoor for his gross motor skill. Maria has special program with the kids taking them to local parks, libraries,playgroups,etc focus in their communication skills and enjoy the natural experiences. Maria is very professional and keeps the communication with the parents sending photos, sharing the special moments as a parents we really appreciate that. I have been very happy with my experience with Luna FDC and as I have worked in a variety of early childhood settings over many years it has been so reassuring to have found a service that I am so confident in leaving my daughter to enjoy her learning journey in. Maria has built a wonderful rapport with my child and knows and understands her well. She also takes much pride and enjoyment in her work and the children feel this & naturally gravitate to her genuine and nurturing nature. My daughter enjoys a balanced program and she is surrounded with inviting play spaces and a variety of great learning opportunities whilst also be very lucky to be able to enjoy a home like setting and a sense of belonging within the local community as she engages in adventures to local parks, libraries, events, playgroups etc. as relevant to the educational program. Also, in regards to the program I am also particularly impressed with Maria's emphasis on natural experiences and the way she resources for the activities she sets up for the children and also the way in which she ensures a good balance of indoor and outdoor play. Maria is very professional and follows the children's lead in terms of their interests and needs well.
