My kids have been attending this wonderful family day care for two years. Maria is a wonderfully warm and homely educator. She provides a lot of structure with daily outdoor time (cubby house, sandpit, slide, mud kitchen ) , craft time, numeracy and writing and book reading. I find my kids thoroughly enjoy the wider variety of games (dominos, bingo, fancy dress costumes). They really love Maria and the attention they get from her. (it’s always 4 kids to 1 educator) and it’s more consistent here than what they do at the a big brand long day centre (which my kids also attend on other days) . Maria runs a light pre-school programme too for sightwords and writing that we really appreciate. When my kids come home they talk a lot about what happened during the day and the interactions between their friends.
Happy Kids FDC(Cammeray)has been in the Childcare industry since 2004. It is owned and operated by a highly qualified Early Childhood Educator. The educator, Maria Aggabao won an "Educator of the Year-2021" award regionally(in the North Shore and Northern Beaches) in recognition of her talent, dedication & passion. Maria use to work as a medical(exposed to paediatric cases)& dental nurse for years both locally and abroad.When she is not working she loves playing the piano, guitar, ukelele, to bake/cook, do gardening. She also loves playing volleyball, basketball , badminton, table tennis, board games such as chess, checker, scrabble.
Our programs emphasise child-initiated play, which revolves around a basic daily routine and structure. This is achieved through various creative activities such as art, music, drama,physical movement, gardening & more.We have a custom-designed outdoor play area & a fully air-conditioned playroom with various colourful toys that will keep your children happy & busy.
With 4 young children attending daily, there's less chances of your child acquiring serious or common illnesses, less overwhelming for a child in a new environment, less chances of being bullied by older children,but more chances of bonding with new friends and educator in a more familiar homey setting.Most of the time, a life-long bond of friendship grows between children and families.
Parents need to only bring 4 items. Clothes for changing,sunscreen lotion, water bottle and food (Morning /afternoon tea and lunch). Personal uniform red hats & nappies/wipes are provided. It is recommended that parents bring their child's food for ease in monitoring of what & how much their children have eaten during the day. Food allergy is also prevented among children when bringing food.
