About Tyndale Early Learning Centre

Welcome to Tyndale Pre-School.

The Pre-School program focus is on independent learning and social skills with a specific emphasis on play-based learning. Pre-School is available to children who have reached 3 years of age.

Tyndale Prep is a school readiness program designed to provide young children with opportunities to maximise their potential and develop a foundation for future success in learning. Prep caters for all children who turn 4 years of age by 31st July and therefore are eligible to commence Kindergarten in the following year.

Children at Tyndale learn about themselves and the world in the light of a biblically-founded understanding of humanity. While Tyndale understands the importance of the child’s belonging to family, culture, neighbourhood and the wider community, each child belongs primarily to the Creator, God, and has the responsibility and authority to bring glory to Him.

Each child is a unique being, made in God’s image, blessed with personality, imagination and talents, called to respond to God in love and service. There is tremendous, lifelong excitement and challenge in unwrapping the truth of God’s purposes for the world and His people.

Tyndale recognises and values the sound educational theory and practice underpinning the Early Years Learning Framework, an Australian Government mandated program for delivering learning experiences for children 0-5 years.

Both Pre-School and Prep use the school’s Biblically informed world view to interpret and implement the Framework, and has recently been assessed by the NSW Department of Education and received a rating of ‘Meeting the National Quality Standard.’

The programs are developed with a specific emphasis on play-based learning and recognises the importance of communication and language skills, as well as the social and emotional development of the child.

In order to engage children actively in learning, educators identify children’s strengths and interests, choose appropriate teaching strategies and design the learning environment to enable children to explore and make connections between prior experiences and new learning opportunities.

Tyndale Early Learning Centre values the role of families as the children’s first and most influential educators. Children thrive when families and educators work together in partnership to support young children’s learning.
