SAND Childcare truly encompasses everything that Family daycare should, a true family environment, where you are made to feel like family. The educator/s are dedicated to developing children in their care, as well as providing fun and engaging activities, such as attending local community group offerings. Children get to learn from their peers, which can vary in age. Family day care, different to long day care, allows a more personalised approach, there is a real continuity of care, and children get to know their educator well and feel comfortable in their daily or weekly routine. This is crucial in a child’s development. The communication between educators and parents is second to none. Nira and the team have been amazing with their support and engagement with my child. The level of care and tailored approach to support all kids of different needs has been beneficial to our family and we can't recommend them enough.

I booked our annual leave over Christmas and NY without checking our regular child care's reopening date in January. We then quickly had to find an alternative child care for our three children for a week when I found out our centre won't reopen until a week later after the date we're supposed to return to work. I called around the childcare centres in the area with no success (some were trying to help but had no capacity, some just said no to short-term enrollment). In the last minute, I found this family day care. I spoke to Nira who was very professional and she was able to take in our children for the week. She promptly organised the paperwork and we were able to send our children in on the same day. Our girls had an amazing experience at this childcare. They settled in straight away, came home happy and told us about all the adventure they had that day. They loved their educators, Nira and Punsala. They were very well looked after. The educators always ensured the girls had their meals and provided them with light snack too in the afternoon just before pick-up time. They never had any toilet accidents. Our girls are all toilet trained but our youngest two still need some help going to the toilet. The place is well organised, there are several corners where kids can either play by themselves with toys that interest them or play together with their peers. there's a backyard with plenty of space for kids to run around and have outdoor activities. There's a separate dining area too for kids to sit at the table and eat their meals. The educators sent us pictures throughout the day to keep us in the loop of our girls' activities during the day. We'll be using this family day care again to complement care we receive from our primary child care centre.

I'm very happy to recommend this family day care. Nira supported and tried to understand to our family's needs and my son's interests. She is very passionated about what is doing.

Fabulous educators, Ms. Nira, with plenty of experience not only as an educator but also as a mum always give my boy a very warm and welcoming environment. My little one loves all of the extra activities offered such as excursion -visiting a garden, playground, craft sessions and so on. Only one week settlement he needed to get along with other kids as she fully helped him and the family as well. Everything is very well organized and tidy for kids. This is not a big place like a major childcare centre but I believe that my boy could have more experience and even learn more here👏 If you would like your little one to get warm and extra cuddle, I highly recommend Sand child care with lovely educator, Ms Nira.

A true gem for the early childhood education sector , an aggressive advocate for providing quality early years experience for all our children. I have a child and soon to be two in care with an educator who works for Sands and I find the communication really clear especially during covid when things were very messy. They really push to provide a good program for the kids with lots of outside activities.
