My daughter joined Guardian Childcare on Queen Street when she was 1.5 years old, and recently my son started at just 5 months. The staff here are absolutely incredible—so caring, observant, and genuinely invested in the children. One of the things that stands out most is the consistency of the team. (Proof of their great team spirit and good management) My daughter is now 4.5 years old, and my son is enjoying the same wonderful teachers who looked after his sister. That continuity means so much—I already have a great relationship with them, and it makes the transition for my son so smooth and reassuring. I’ve breastfed both my babies and spent a lot of time feeding in the mornings and at lunchtime, observing what goes on in the rooms. I can honestly say the staff are attentive, nurturing, and always engaged with the children. It’s impossible to name all the amazing teachers, the chef, and the management team—they are all gems. I also love that they have a large outdoor area that is fully covered, so the kids can spend plenty of time outside while staying sun-safe. Many other centres avoid outdoor play because of hats and sunscreen, but here the children enjoy the best of both worlds. The facilities are fantastic, the room setups change often to keep things fresh, and the staff are actively involved in those changes. Their kindergarten program and teachers are excellent, and the curriculum is amazing. Coming from Belgium, where kids start full-time school at 2.5 years old, I was initially worried about the Australian system where school starts later. But seeing what they teach at Guardian, I’m confident my children are getting a strong foundation for school. I couldn’t recommend Guardian Queen Street more highly. Top notch care, can’t fault it. The staff here are real professionals. They’re always engaging with the kids and offering heaps of creative activities. I’ve noticed my little one is picking up new skills, and she’s always talking about her day when she comes home.
