I was here for a kindergarten tour this morning. The principal’s behavior with me was very racist! An Aussie couple were there at the same time and the principal talked just with them and ignored me obviously for a long time!! I’m really disappointed since then. 😔😔 I will not choose this kindergarten at all and don’t recommend it!!
I am so sorry to hear you felt that way, Helen. While I didn’t conduct the tour, I know it would certainly have not been intentional. We love having families and staff from many different cultures and consider it a strength. We do limit the number of parties on a tour in order to try to make sure each family is felt heard and have their questions answered. I am sorry that this wasn’t the case for you. Oxley Kids offers education and care for children from 18 weeks to 13 years of age, through our long day, sessional and outside school hours care programs.
The Centre operates from 6:30am to 6:30pm, Monday to Friday and is closed on Public Holidays. The centre will be closed between Christmas and New Year.
Early childhood is a vital period in children’s learning and development. It is a time of rapid growth and change. As children participate in everyday life, they develop interests and construct their own identities and understanding of the world.
