Our centre conveniently located in the heart of Bondi Junction, Goodstart Bondi Junction - Oxford Street South is a 73 place centre supporting early childhood education and care for children aged 0-5 years of age.
With dedicated parking spaces for families, our centre is located within the Bondi Junction Westfield Shopping Centre and provides easy access to Bondi Junction Terminal for those families who commute into the city. Servicing the neighbouring suburbs of Woollahra, Tamarama and Edgecliff, our location provides us with some unique opportunities for spontaneous excursions and learning opportunities.
Our four rooms are contemporary with ample natural light, with one of our rooms featuring a bay window where children can view the cityscape and Sydney Harbour Bridge. With three designated outdoor spaces, including our unique large open-planned bike track, there is plenty of space for children have access to age-appropriate play equipment and the environment.
All children at the centre have access to stimulating early childhood learning experiences and curriculum. Developed and delivered by experienced and qualified teachers and educators in line with the Early Years' Learning Framework, each child is supported to enrich their individual needs and interests. Using Storypark, our educators regularly document children’s individual and group learning, as well as meals that are provided daily by our qualified chef.

Our high-quality, play based preschool curriculum is delivered by Bachelor qualified Early Childhood Teachers. Our teachers tailor their programs to ensure all children develop the confidence and social and emotional skills needed for a smooth transition to school. Through play, our Early Childhood Teachers facilitate children’s learning of important language, literacy, numeracy and creative skills.

Hi there! My name is Selma, and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Bondi Junction Oxford Street South.
A little about myself: Since 2013, I have been working in Early Childhood Education and have undertaken many roles and responsibilities in private and not-for-profit centres. I received a Bachelor of Education and then completed the Master of Teaching (0-8). I taught in elementary schools until I decided to pursue my dream of educating children from infancy.
I believe a safe, secure, nurturing and stimulating environment plays a significant role in children’s life and their learning, contributing to their success in school life. In a nurturing and stimulating learning environment, children can reach their maximum potential with the help and guidance of their educators. I consider myself lucky to work with such a professional team who have worked at Goodstart for years to support many families and promote their children’s development and learning.
A little about my personal life: I am an Australian of Turkish origin; therefore, inclusiveness and diversity are one of the important parts of my life. I have a daughter, two sons and two grandsons, and we have a furry friend named Minnosh. My daughter is a primary school teacher at a school, and my sons work as engineers in different companies. I love spending time with them, going on vacation, getting to know new places, and getting together with them for game nights.
