About Edge Early Learning Flagstone

Edge Early Learning Flagstone is a caring, community-minded childcare and kindergarten centre right here in Flagstone. Families travelling in from South Maclean, Jimboomba and Glenlogan find us a friendly, practical option on the daily commute. We know choosing a Flagstone early learning centre is a big decision for any family, and we're here to make it simple. Parents tell us it’s the way we truly know each child and the personalised attention we give that helps children and families feel at home.

We care for children from six weeks to kindergarten across nurturing rooms designed around each age group. Your child's days are filled with play-based learning, creative exploration and plenty of laughter. All of this is guided by our bespoke Teach A Rainbow education program, which we personalise to your child's interests and learning goals. Our classrooms also benefit from art atelier rooms where children explore creativity, build imagination and develop problem-solving skills.

At Edge Flagstone, our kindy children experience a government-approved kindergarten program guided by an early childhood teacher, blending play-based learning with the school-readiness skills that really matter. Our kindergarten children regularly start their school journey at Flagstone State School, St Bonaventure's College, Hills International College, and Jimboomba State School. We have partnerships with these schools to support a smooth transition into prep. Through our close relationship with Flagstone State School, our kindergarten class enjoys weekly excursions to the school library to borrow books, supporting early literacy and helping each child feel confident as they move into prep.

If you're exploring which is the best childcare in Flagstone for your family, we'd love to show you around and introduce you to our team.

We’ve been attending this daycare for over a year, and my child absolutely loves it. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and genuinely care about the children. They provided wonderful support when my child transitioned from another daycare, making the process smooth and reassuring. The team is very approachable and always looking for new and engaging activities for the children.

I went for a walk through yesterday Tuesday 16-12-25. Asked about their google review which they replied no comment, then they just laughed it off. Was not a pleasant experience, down stairs was amazing. The staff seemed friendly, kind & welcoming. Until we got upstairs everything changed, seemed like there was no structure or proper communication. I watched the kindy teacher place her hand on a child’s forehead aggressively to a sweet little girl and told that child “ I told you, not to follow me” Before this, I had watched and observed 3 adults with the same child playing chase as the child was trying to hid between me and my mum who was on the walk through. Then the kindy teacher repeatedly told the kids to leave her alone, not follow her and just was talking to the kids with attitude no real communication or empathy. I then watched a sub kindy-teacher snatch a pen from the same child, tripped the child turned their back and was about to just walk away while child was crying from the interaction. No one even made sure the child was ok even after. I made eye contact with that teacher & then she tried to play victim. Coming over and interrupted our walk through making excuses for her behaviour towards a child. I told the teacher, that it was extremely aggressive & could have been handled better. She tried to argue and make excuses but the walk through lady told her to be more gentle and they don’t do that there. Obviously they do, do it there more often as they seemed quite comfortable with the way they were reacting whilst a new family was there. the top floor was quite stand off ish especially when asked questions about how the kids interact through out the day and their programs. Children seemed like they were a problem to the educators instead of being a united team. I walked out smiles with a thought 💭 my kids will never be attending a place like that, with that being said I found a daycare within the area that seems 1000% better visually & physically just by our walk through today. No bikes, they all are getting fixed upstairs apparently & no supervision cameras throughout the centre, only cams are out in the play area but I would question if they even are turned on with how they were treating the children. Especially audio Hope no one else sees or experiences what I did on mine 🥴😁

Such a disappointing experience for our grandchildren to have to go through, with the constant staff shortages and the amount of staff leaving , also when questioned about different things that our grandchildren had gone through they were dismissed or not followed through not sure why this was but it was definitely on more than one occasion. The facility is probably one of the dirtiest I’ve ever experienced with looking at the same dirt piles on the stairs for the past 6 months not to mention food sitting on open benches from one day to the next and actually having a educator say to a child don’t eat that it was there yesterday. This all stems from management . You need to do better by your staff and definitely by the children who go to this centre. No need for the generic reply, our grandchildren are now happy and thriving somewhere else getting the support that they and every unique child deserves. Please hire a cleaner.
