This is a fabulous kindy- I truly wish every kid got to experience it as it’s such a beautiful foundation for getting ready to go to prep. They have a wonderful program, including ocean warriors on Wednesdays, the teachers are longstanding, lovely and fantastic with the kids and there is such a beautiful community. No shoes, climbing trees, going to the beach, consistency with start and finish times… the list goes on why this little kindy is the best! My second daughter is there currently and absolutely loves it and my eldest wishes she could go back!

My husband and I are both primary school teachers and we think that this kindy is the best! The teachers are so experienced and really prepare kids for school. They’re lucky enough to be situated across the road from the beach, where the children go weekly for their ‘Ocean Warriors’ program. We’ve had 2 girls go through this kindy and will we enrolling our 3rd! Highly recommended

Our eldest daughter attends Broadbeach Kindergarten and has done so for the past two school years. Next year, our second child will be on the books at BBK. We cannot thank the team at Broadbeach Kindy enough for the kindness and guidance they have offered our little girl. BBK is a community, and the three ladies who work there have the children and their engagement with wider community at the heart of their educational program. We cannot speak highly enough of the experience that we have enjoyed (and will continue to enjoy) over these past two years at BBK. After all, we wouldn’t be eagerly enrolling our second daughter if we weren’t highly satisfied. Matt Barlow – Father and Primary School Teacher

About Broadbeach Community Kindergarten

Broadbeach Kindergarten embraces the philosophy of each child being unique. We value the provision of opportunities for each child to learn at their own individual rate of development in a caring, warm, secure and safe environment. Our curriculum is the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline, which aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). We offer yoga and our unique "Ocean Warrior" program weekly.  The children learn about the fragile marine ecosystem.  Akitsu Long, a surf lifesaver, joins the children on the beach and teaches awareness of the ocean waves and conditions, the importance of swimming between the flags, they play games and play happily with their peers on the sand in the sunshine.

We encourage children to learn through self-expression and self-reliance, in order to enhance their self-concept. We encourage the children to be independent and inquisitive in their learning. It is inherent in our philosophy that children learn through relationships with people, places, things and time. We believe that every child is important, every child has so much to offer, and every child has a marvellous capacity to learn. Our centre has a warm and friendly atmosphere, which is enhanced by caring, loving and experienced staff.
