My name is Kirsten and I am the owner and lead educator at Flutterbies FDC. I am a registered educator with Inspired Family Day Care service which is founded on the belief that all children deserve a childhood filled with wonder and adventure.  Our home in Birkdale is the perfect environment for FDC with lots of areas for the children to explore.

I have worked as an early childhood professional for 28 years and am a university qualified early childhood teacher.  In my career I have been lucky enough to work in a wide variety of children’s services.  I started Family Day care in 2012 and quickly fell in love with the unique and very special care environment that it can offer children and families.

Flutterbies Early Years program is for children aged 2 - 5 years.  The sessions run from 8am – 4pm Monday to Thursday.  Children can attend at any time within the session they are booked in for.  

Our program is child led in an environment which is created to provide self selection based on the needs and interests of the children  

Regular outings to the local community provide children opportunities to connect with the natural environment and community.  We explore beach, bushland and gardens together where children are free to explore, imagine, and engage with their local environments.
