Our child has attended My Little Angels Penshurst since May 2024. For the first year and a half, the centre was good. The educators have always been caring, warm, and genuinely invested in the children. While there was definitely some issues under the previous leadership, particularly around general communication we always felt our son was in good hands and was well cared for. Unfortunately, since the new director, Bay Lea took over in April 2026, the quality and stability of the service has declined dramatically.<br><br>Some key issues:<br>- Director not present and limited communication: Over the past few months, Bay Lea has been almost entirely absent from the centre. In the five months since she started, we’ve only seen her once. Messages often go unanswered for an entire day or more. We provided feedback on this but there was no change.<br>- Unannounced staffing changes: A new educator appeared one morning with no prior communication to families. When we asked other parents, none had received any notification despite the director insisting one had been sent.<br><br>On the same day we had an incident involving our child. Despite contacting the director before the incident to discuss the concerns about lack of communication about staff changes, and again about the incident she did not return the call until 5:40pm.<br><br>-A sudden closure announcement with only two weeks’ notice: Families were told MLA Penshurst would shut down for 3–6 months, and that the director would be on leave during the entire notice period. No prior consultation and no transparency, with the only option provided to transfer to the Hurstville branch.<br><br>We later learned from multiple sources that the Penshurst centre is currently up for sale, something never communicated to families.<br><br>The educators themselves have been wonderful throughout and this review is not about them. But the leadership and communication under the current director have made us lose confidence in the service. We have since moved our child to another centre.

Excellent service! The educators are supported by a brilliant management team. The have beautiful resources, offering a thoughtful learning program. The atmosphere is kind and welcoming and the service is so well maintained and super clean and organised. I love the sense of community and fun events that the Director and team put so much effort into for the children and families :)

Management appears to be completely indifferent to our concerns. All inquiries and complaints are consistently disregarded. The only reason I have remained is because of the excellent educators (unfortunately, they do not stay very long).

My Little Angels have dedicated and qualified teachers and educators who specialise in Reggio inspired learning curriculum.
They facilitate incursions and excursions including special events and community programs.
They also provide arts, music, language and movement programs facilitated by their dedicated In-house teachers.
They also provide fresh, nutritious meals, that are made on site by their in-house chef. All food and products are locally sourced.
They are a dedicated Preschool Learning Centre supported by their Kindergarten teachers for 3-5 years.
Open weekdays from 7am – 6pm.
