Our family was at Waratah Street for 7 years altogether, starting when my eldest was 9 months all the way through to when they left for school and we couldn't have asked for a more fabulous and nurturing childcare centre. Kerrie and her team are dedicated to creating a caring and fun environment in which children feel safe, and are supported to play, explore, form friendships, and learn. The team are great at communicating with parents and I felt so confident in their care. In particular the preschool program provided an excellent foundation for my children as they embarked on their big school journey from a social, independence and academic perspective. Can't recommend highly enough!

Waratah Street Daycare has been such a wonderful place for my son’s early learning journey. The educators there are truly caring, patient, and dedicated , they treat every child with kindness and genuine attention. It always gave me peace of mind knowing he was in an environment where the staff really cared about the children’s wellbeing and development. My son was always so happy to go there, which says so much about the positive atmosphere they create. He not only learned so much, but also built beautiful friendships with many good friends along the way. Watching him graduate from Waratah Street Daycare was a special moment for our family, and we’re very grateful for the support, love, and guidance the educators gave him during such an important stage of his life. Waratah Street Daycare has been a wonderful place for my son. We are very grateful for the love and support they gave him during his early learning journey. Highly recommend!

We had the best experience in Waratah Street. As a covid baby, my baby girl was not used to being left at a place for such a long period of time. However the staff at Waratah St have made the transition a lot easier for both myself and my baby girl. I am forever grateful for all the staff in helping my baby girl feel comfortable and getting her out of her shell. I would 100% recommend this centre

Waratah Street is a quiet, smaller-scale centre next to beautiful Gunnamatta Park. We’re a one-minute walk from Cronulla train station and close to four primary schools: Cronulla, Cronulla South, Burraneer Bay and St. Aloysius. We make great use of our beautiful local environment for the children's learning. We also engage with our community by visiting parks, library storytimes and many other local destinations.
Families love our centre’s community feel. We enjoy wonderful relationships with families and encourage their contribution to the children’s curriculum.
Our new playground is a modern, spacious and full of exciting opportunities to extend children's development. It features a sandpit with water feature, large spiderweb climbing structure, cubby house with slide, shaded reading nook for quiet time and connecting with nature, and a herb and veggie garden for our garden-to-plate program.
Environmental practices are important to us. The children love to garden and help with composting. They also harvest veggies for use in our centre meals.
Families value our creative and skilled team and the genuine care we have for the children. We want every child to feel valued and appreciated. Inclusion and diversity are at the heart of our smaller-scale centre. We meet every child’s individual needs and we warmly support parents' goals for their child. Our learning program reflects the children's voices and our team's talents. We have a passion for sustainability, cultural awareness, arts and wellbeing.
