Our children have been through every room at Montessori Academy, from infants to preschool 2, and love their time there. The educators are kind, supportive, and they teach children useful skills through play. We find this centre to be calm, whereas another centre we used was more chaotic.

We enrolled two children at this Montessori Academy and were generally happy with the service for some time. However, in recent years—particularly since COVID—we have noticed a significant shift in the programme’s approach. There now appears to be a much stronger emphasis on certain ideological concepts and cultural elements from one particular foreign background (including frequent use of non-English music and activities in the classroom and events such as the Christmas concert), while we felt our own family’s heritage and Australian values received little to no representation. As migrants who deeply value Australia’s multicultural ethos and core principles such as unity, fairness, and mateship, we were disappointed that the approach felt increasingly unbalanced and did not align with our expectations for an inclusive early learning environment. We hope the school can return to its original roots and focus more evenly on fostering belonging for all families. We had hoped the school’s anti-bias and inclusion policy (available on their website) would ensure equitable respect for all cultures, but in practice we observed a growing focus on certain foreign elements over others. We also felt some responses to parent concerns were not as collaborative as we would have liked. Prospective families may wish to review the school’s policies, event calendar, and speak with current parents to ensure the current approach matches their own values and expectations for their child’s education. Our decision to withdraw our youngest child was based solely on what we experienced as a family in more recent times.

Fantastic little centre, beautiful staff/educators who are so kind, caring and compassionate towards both the children and parents alike.

Montessori is a second home to my daughter. The educators are warm, friendly and approachable who have helped her settle into the classroom environment. We are grateful and thankful for always reassuring us about her progress and development within the classroom. The classrooms are well equipped with resources and materials. We love how they teach the children basic life skills and their program caters to all the children’s needs. Overall, we are satisfied with the service at Montessori Academy

My little one has been attending montessori academy Penrith since she first turned one. I cannot fault the staff, the service, or the overall quality of the centre at all. While all the staff and educators are absolutely wonderful, I can't not give a special thanks to Miss Dee, Miss Raji, Miss Connie, Miss Sam and Miss Kaylah. You all go above and beyond, and it shows every single day.

We couldn’t be happier with Montessori Penrith. From the very beginning, the educators and staff made us feel welcome, supported, and confident that my son was in a safe and nurturing environment. The team is incredibly caring, patient, and genuinely invested in each child as an individual, which truly shows every day. Since attending, my son has grown so much in confidence, independence, and curiosity. The Montessori approach is thoughtfully applied, and the environment is calm, engaging, and well suited to children learning at their own pace. Communication with families is excellent, and it’s clear how much pride and care the educators put into creating such a positive space. Seeing my son build friendships and come home happy each day has been such a joy. We are incredibly grateful to the entire team at Montessori Penrith and would highly recommend them to any family looking for a warm, supportive, and enriching early learning environment.

We absolutely love Montessori Penrith. My daughter attends here and the care, patience and genuine kindness shown by the teachers and staff is amazing. They create such a calm, nurturing environment where children are truly seen and supported as individuals. The educators are attentive, knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what they do, and it gives me so much confidence knowing my daughter is in such capable, caring hands. Communication is great and the atmosphere always feels welcoming. Both of my boys have attended Montessori Academy Penrith, and the skills they have learned are beyond words. My elder son started kindergarten two years ago when he was only 4.5 years old, the youngest in the classroom, and even in the grade, but he has been doing amazingly since day one. This is because of the effort and dedication the educators demonstrated in supporting him with essential life skills and a curriculum that built his confidence and self-esteem, allowing him to transition smoothly into big school. My younger son also formed strong relationships with his educators. He talks about them at home all the time, and whenever we go somewhere or do something, he always asks to bring it to school so he can share it with his educators and friends. Cannot recommend them more!!!
