About the curriculum

About the curriculum

The Kindergarten program is a complete cycle of each individual child’s development. Educators see and learn the ways children take on new knowledge and adapt their teaching practices to cater for them. The environment is busy and forever changing as learning evolves. You’ll often find the Kinder children out at Forest School, where the natural environment is the teacher.

Through many literacy games, active outdoor play, and day-to-day activities, Educators strive to get each child ready for their first year of school, providing them with the emotional, physical and intellectual support.

Qualified Teachers constantly critically reflect on their curriculum, ensuring that it’s at its best for the diversity within the centre. A home away from home, where learning takes flight with the little Bluebirds.

Centre philosophy

Centre philosophy

Forest School Program - Each week the children will travel to a local national park or bushland area, where they will be able to play and explore freely, under the discrete observation of the educators.

Kindy of Kindness - Initiatives may include visits to aged care facilities, baking for the local emergency services, and fund-raising projects to assist charity groups.

Sustainability Program - By taking part in daily sustainable living practices including recycling, composting, worm farming, energy and water saving, the children develop a working understanding of how they can play a vital role in protecting the environment.

Community connections - By forging strong community ties they enable the children to develop a deep sense of belonging and connection to the world around them, construct an understanding of how society works, and begin to recognise and respect the shared values that unite us.

Technology focus - Technology is introduced through a play based approach. Educators role model and assist children to gain new knowledge and to better understand concepts through the designated computer programs.

Health & Nutrition

Health & Nutrition

The centre believes in a hands-on approach to teaching children about food, which is why cooking classes are offered as part of the curriculum.

Children are encouraged to help out where they can, whether that’s chopping fruit for smoothies or pouring them out for everyone.

Food is used as a way to teach children about identifying their needs and attending to them. Children can access drink stations and fruit bowls for a quick snack.

Meet the team

Meet the team

I find it incredibly rewarding to be a part of each child’s Early Education journey. To watch as they grow, learn, develop, play, and prepare for their transition to school is so rewarding and a true privilege! Throughout this journey I endeavour to instil in each child, a lifelong love of learning.

This centre allows staff members to have relationships among themselves. 28 year olds dating 19 year olds is disturbing. I have emailed management myself regarding this with zero response, the staff members gang up on other employees making them feel uncomfortable at work. Their attitude at work is disgusting and disturbing. I have witnessed this first hand as a parent doing drop off and pick up and as someone who also is friends with another employee at this centre who feels uncomfortable coming into work now due to the nature of this relationship. Our children are not much younger than this 19 year old, no wonder this industry has such a bad name lately. Dating a 19-year-old when you're pushing 30 isn’t quirky, it’s concerning. The emotional maturity gap? Vast. The shared life experience? Practically non-existent. This isn’t a relationship—it’s a mentorship with a weird power dynamic.
