UPDATE- We have moved our son from BSA to Astellier in Beresfield. It is a much nicer centre, and appears to be run alot better. We had issues with BSA that were not being addressed, even after being told by higher up that they would be addressed, such things as medication administration and not being notified on incidents that would occur etc etc. We never knew who would be watching our son in the end as they have so many casuals, none of which were introduced through the app to the parents. Staff turn over is a joke there. Our son has a speech delay, and a lot of the casuals have english as 2nd language, which is not in our sons best interest. Our son starts school next year, this decision was not made lightly. Many families have moved their children from BSA to Astellier in Beresfield and other centres for similar reasons. Please take a look at Astellier or any other centre before this one. I feel for some of the educators at BSA as some are absolutely brilliant, just are let down by the centre itself... Our son woke up this morning telling me he didn't want to go to daycare, but the moment I reminded him he's going to yellow daycare (Astellier) his smile appeared and he jumped out of bed so excited. He appears so much happier already. 02/06/26 Previous review- My son (just turned 2) has been going to Bright Steps since he was roughly 10/11months. He has come so far since he first started, and has really come out of his shell! All the carers are beautiful people, who go above and beyond for my boy. And the manager, Courtney, is amazing! My son has made so many little friends, and it melts my heart to see him happily playing and socialising with other little munchkins his age. Highly recommend Bright Steps Beresfield!

Next to no behavioural support my son was getting sent home daily due to behaviours that could have been managed if they had just followed suggestions from us as the parents, my son was treated like some sort of burden and was not given the time of day and came home asking “why don’t they like me daddy” that’s pretty sad for a 5 year old to be asking 😓 10/10 do not reccommend

Staff are friendly and 9 times out of 10, my child is happy to go. . However, The staff turn over is concerning. I hardly know any of the teachers there anymore. I’m always concerned about who to drop my child off to as I don’t know any of the faces and not sure who knows them best. Majority of the teachers there are casual staff members who have been called in to fill a spot. And this is most days. This has been an issue for a while and I seem to know less and less people every week it feels at this stage. Staff look exhausted so are they burning out? Should this also be a concern as obviously their upper management aren’t seeing this issue? The staff they have left that I do know are great and I would hate to see any of them leave. Should I put my child on other lists? Should we just jump ship now before they’re closed down for no staff? Or will they run on casuals to cover the ratio requirement? How long can they continue to operate like this? **Posting anonymously as I don’t want this to impact my child’s care.

My daughter has been here from 10 months old, and I’ve watched her and her peers grow up together for the last 2 two years. She has amazing bonds with both her peers, and her teachers. I never feel worried while she is there. In the early days I’d never be made to feel silly making a call to see how she was going. I want to make a special mention to Tara, Lee and Tanisha who you can very easily see have such special bonds with the children they care for. Couldn’t ask for more!
