We had our son enrolled here for around two months, and unfortunately it was one of the worst experiences we’ve had with a childcare centre.

The first thing you notice when you walk in is the smell. It was very unpleasant and would linger for hours after leaving.

Our son was only 8 months old at the time. We specifically advised the educators that he was not to be given Vegemite. One educator then suggested giving him honey instead, which was very concerning as honey is not recommended for babies under 12 months. They then started giving him plain toast, but the following day we saw photos of him eating Vegemite toast anyway, despite our instructions.

There was also an incident where our son injured himself outside with a stick. When we asked what had happened, we received different explanations from different staff members. One said it was a stick, another said it was a nail, and the stories didn’t match. This left us with very little confidence in the communication between staff.

Our son would often come home extremely dirty, to the point where we sometimes threw his clothes away because they were so filthy.

I could go on with several other incidents, but overall we lost confidence in leaving our child there.

I do want to acknowledge that not everyone was the same. June and Carly were both wonderful and genuinely cared for the children, and we really appreciated their efforts. The management team was also polite whenever we spoke with them.

However, based on our overall experience, we decided this centre was not the right fit for our family, and unfortunately I wouldn’t feel comfortable recommending it to other parents.
