At Shared Beginnings, children learn best when they feel safe, supported and inspired. Guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and, for our Victorian services, aligned with the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF), our Shared Foundations Approach blends child-led learning, purposeful play and holistic growth, so each child is known, nurtured and confident.
Daily routines: Learning is embedded in everyday moments, from mealtimes to group time, to build independence and confidence.
Play spaces: Classrooms and outdoor areas are set up to spark curiosity, collaboration and problem-solving.
Cultural respect: Programs reflect the cultures of our families and community, with Indigenous perspectives woven in.
Family partnerships: We work alongside you, sharing goals, progress and learning stories, to ensure consistency and trust.
Celebrating progress: Milestones, big and small, are recognised and shared, so children see themselves as capable learners.
At Shared Beginnings, every child’s right to safety and belonging comes first. We are a Child Safe Organisation, embedding the National Child Safe Principles and each state’s standards across all our services.
Our educators are trained to identify and respond to risks, champion inclusion, and uphold children’s voices and rights. We work in partnership with families, maintaining open communication and transparency at all times - because when children feel safe, they can truly play, learn, and thrive.

The childcare centre offers spacious classrooms, wide variety of engaging play areas and equipment that keep the children active and excited to explore. The educators are very caring, attentive, and professional. Especially Jenny, Peter, Suparna, Felicia, and the other staff too. The daily activities are thoughtfully planned, always educational and engaging. Highly recommend Shared Beginnings Pyrmont to any parents looking for reliable, high-quality childcare.

We’re very happy with Sharing Beginnings. Our favourite educators have been here since the Genius days, and that continuity has meant a lot to our family. Since the transition to Sharing Beginnings, we’ve had a very positive experience and haven’t seen any issues. The building is great, the playground is fantastic for the kids, and most importantly, the people are wonderful. It’s a warm and caring environment, and we genuinely enjoy being part of this centre. We’d happily recommend it to other families.
