We just finished up after 5 years and 2 kids through the school. We are so sad to leave, the boys flourished, learnt and grew in a very special environment. My wife and and I can’t recommend L’Atelier enough!

We stayed here for six months, and when we arrived, our son didn’t speak or understand any English. Thanks to the warm welcome and the wonderful educators, he quickly felt at home. They taught him about time and numbers and offered a wide range of creative and diverse activities every day. We would definitely come back. Five-star, gold-medal experience.

I would highly recommend L’Atelier for anyone looking for care for their child aged 2-5yo. L’Atelier provides a safe, interactive and enriching environment for learning and development. It has a fantastic outdoor play area which is one of the aspects that initially drew me to the centre. It has created independence and confidence, and most of all happiness. It has excellent staff continuity which reflects a good culture and workplace, which is also highly valued and important when it comes to children developing secure attachments and relationships.

About L'Atelier for Children

At our Reggio Emilia–inspired preschool for children aged 2–5 years, we see school readiness as so much more than early academics. Inspired by the educational philosophy of Reggio Emilia approach, we believe children are capable, competent and rich in potential. Our role is to nurture confident learners who are socially, emotionally and cognitively prepared for their transition to school.

With a maximum of 30 children each day and a team of dedicated permanent educators, we provide a calm and consistent environment where secure relationships can flourish. These strong connections build children’s sense of belonging, independence and self-regulation — essential foundations for school readiness. Children learn to communicate their needs, collaborate with peers, solve problems and take responsibility for their learning.

Our project-based program is guided by children’s interests, encouraging inquiry, creativity and critical thinking. Through long-term investigations, children develop early literacy and numeracy skills in meaningful, contextual ways. They engage in rich conversations, explore symbolic languages such as drawing and mark-making, and build persistence as they test theories and revisit ideas.

Our expansive outdoor environment plays a vital role in preparing children for school. Through active, hands-on exploration, risk-taking play and engagement with natural materials, children strengthen their physical coordination, resilience and confidence.

We work in close partnership with families to ensure each child’s strengths, interests and developmental milestones are supported. By honouring children’s voices and fostering a love of learning, we prepare them not only for a successful start to school, but for a lifelong journey of curiosity and growth.
