Explore & Develop Rhodes is a purpose-built Early Education and Care Centre within the Rhodes Recreation Centre, welcoming children from 6 weeks to 6 years of age. Privately owned and operated by three local Inner West mothers with over 35 years of combined experience in Early Childhood Education & Care, we are passionate about encouraging children to imagine, explore, discover and create.

Child safety is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to ethical practice, respectful relationships and environments where every child is safe, protected and heard. We recognise each child as a unique individual and value their ideas, voices and cultural identity. By listening to children, we create fun and meaningful learning experiences that build confidence and a strong sense of security and belonging.

Our experienced, highly qualified educators deliver a full and active program in well-resourced classrooms. Our comprehensive school readiness program follows the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), with its emphasis on play-based learning to nurture curious, capable learners prepared for school and beyond.

Multiple shaded outdoor environments, designed for different age groups, support gross motor development, sensory challenges and an appreciation of the natural world.

For most children, ours is their first education and care environment, so we foster a welcoming, home-like ambiance where families feel secure and a true sense of belonging.

Surrounded by foreshore parks and riverside walks, we head beyond the gate to explore the land around us to connect with the Rhodes community. With dedicated car parking and onsite pram storage, we're easily accessible by car or on foot, right next to Rhodes Central and Rhodes train station.

We warmly invite you and your family into our environment, where lifelong learning begins.
