"Wrapped in love" It describes the feeling of being cared for deeply, with warmth, security and a sense of belonging. That's what deb has worked so hard to create at LKBK, her nature based play and art are the perfect world for your child to grow, the space and the care put into your child is worlds apart from what a centre can offer. Deb is a one in a million and if you are blessed to send your child into her care, your life will benefit from all aspects of what LKBK brings. The community she has created is forever my safe place. And we are very grateful for the love and care we receive from debbie and her family.

I’m Debbie’s eldest daughter, I live in the home where Let Kids be Kids is run in. Our space is always filled with such a sense of community, joy and adorable little giggles. It has been almost 2 years since we opened and I consider every parent and child here as well as Debbie and my younger sister to be a little LKBK family ❤️

A Deeply Traumatizing Experience — Parents Beware What began as a wonderful experience ended in a profoundly upsetting and entirely avoidable situation for our family. For 18 months, our child loved every moment at this Let Kids be Kids. She made genuine friendships and adored Debbie—so much so that we believed we had found the perfect place. That illusion shattered the moment we unknowingly crossed an unwritten rule. We dropped our child off between 9:00 and 9:15 AM on several occasions—apparently an "unacceptable" time according to Debbie, even though this guideline was never formally communicated. No policies were documented, and at no point were we warned that arriving slightly after 9:00 AM could get our child expelled. Yet that’s exactly what happened. Following a few passive-aggressive reminders, Debbie abruptly informed us that our child was no longer welcome. Effective immediately. No written warning, no transition plan, no notice period—just cold dismissal. We were left scrambling for alternative childcare with zero regard for the emotional or logistical impact this would have on our family. Months later, our child still asks about her friends, still wants to wear her backpack, still remembers the place she loved—and still doesn’t understand why she can’t go back. We do. And it’s heartbreaking. This experience has left emotional scars on our entire family. No child should be made to feel exiled from a place they considered safe and joyful. If you’re considering this daycare, think twice. Our trust was betrayed—and our daughter suffered for it.
