Beach Kids Chinderah is owned and operated by a family with over 20 years of experience helping children and educators fourish within the Early Childhood Eduation and Care industry.

Our Beach Kids Chinderah team consists of outstanding educators who bring a diverse array of qualifications, skills, and experience. With our Beach Kids Communication App, families can engage in ongoing and transparent communication while receiving regular updates on their children's learning and progress. Our inclusive open-door policy welcomes families to actively participate in the development and evaluation of our educational programs and policies. We value everyone's input, as it contributes to making Beach Kids an extraordinary, supportive environment for work, learning, and play.

Our comprehensive safety framework includes the following key measures, however, please know we have an open door policy and welcome questions from parents/guardians:
Supervision, Risk, and Environment
Active Supervision: Clear policies and procedures ensure children are adequately and actively supervised at all times.
Risk Assessment & Management: Regular risk assessments are conducted to identify and mitigate potential hazards. Building Design & Safety: Facilities are designed to support supervision, safety, and accessibility, including safe access to toilets and outdoor spaces.
Policies, Procedures & Compliance
Comprehensive Policies: Maintained detailed policies and procedures addressing child safety, incident response, online safety, and risk mitigation, supported and delivered by our dedicated team of caring early childhood educators.
Compliance Monitoring: Our services are regularly reviewed by the Regulatory Authority to ensure adherence to all legislative and safety standards. Staff Screening & Professional Development
Working with Children: All staff must hold a current Working With Children Check that includes National Police Check (criminal history record check) and a review of reportable workplace misconduct).
Mandatory Training: Staff complete approved child protection courses and ongoing training at least annually in child safety and wellbeing.
Professional Development: ongoing learning and skill building opportunities to improve teaching and learning outcomes, ensuring compliance, supporting child safety and wellbeing, fostering reflective practice and continuous improvement.
Professional and comprehensive reference checks: for all educators and ensure prohibited person (ACECQA) is completed
Health, Hygiene & Wellbeing
Health Controls: Strict measures are in place for immunisation, allergy and medical management, food safety, and infectious disease prevention. Sun Protection & Safe Transport: Services follow best practice guidelines to ensure safety during outdoor activities and transportation.
Prohibition of Substances: Tobacco, including vaping devices, alcohol and drugs are not permitted under any circumstances.
Employee Assistance Program; available to all educators (staff) free of charge
Digital Safety & Technology Use Device Use Policy: Staff are prohibited from using personal devices to photograph or film children. Only service issued devices may be used, with strict privacy and consent protocols.
National Standards & Ongoing Improvement National Quality Standard (NQS): Child safety is embedded throughout all areas of the National Quality Standard, ensuring an ongoing focus across operations.
Child Safe Culture: All educators (staff) are expected to uphold and promote a strong culture of child safety, wellbeing, and respect. See it, Say it, Report it!
Child Protection & Reporting
Incident Prevention and Management: Protocols are in place to proactively prevent incidents and manage them effectively when they occur.
Mandatory Reporting: All educators and staff are required to report any suspected or known child abuse or neglect to the families and relevant authorities. 24-Hour Incident Reporting: Allegations, complaints, or incidents involving physical or sexual abuse must be reported within 24 hours.

• Bush, Beach and River Kinder: children and Educators explore and interact with the local beaches, bush and river areas. 
• Yoga: children take part in relaxation and mindfulness sessions that allow them to self-regulate.
• Sports: children enjoy the Future champs program, where they learn about the importance of physical exercise, healthy foods, and taking care of their bodies. 
• Dance and Music: children enjoy the rhythm and learn how to creatively move their bodies in coordination in the centre’s dance and music classes. 
• Cooking and nutrition classes: run by the centre cooks, giving children life skills, and learning about health and nutrition.
• Excursions: extending the children’s learning by visiting aged care facilities, library, local primary schools, supermarkets and more.
• Incursions: interesting visitors teach the children about chicken hatching, Aboriginal Dreamtime, or animals.
• School readiness program: designed to help prepare children for the opportunities and challenges of formal schooling.

Beach Kids Chinderah provides an exceptional Government Approved Preschool program incorporated into our long day care setting, meaning Preschool families can still enjoy the flexibility of extended care hours. The Preschool program is delivered by University Qualified Teacher and because of this, our families receive a minimum of $41 weekly discount on their “gap” fees. Our comprehensive Preschool curriculum incorporates School Readiness and Transition to School Programs.

Our program effectively equips children with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate the opportunities and challenges they will encounter in a formal school setting, empowering them to thrive academically and socially.

We are proud to employ highly qualified Early Childhood Teachers who provide a consistent and high-quality education, ensuring children are ready for the transition to formal schooling.

Our School Transition Program includes:

• Customised individual learning programs for each child, developed by teachers in consultation with families
• Interactive whiteboard, iPads and latest IT programs incorporated into teaching and learning activities
• Regular excursions to learn in and around the community to develop children’s confidence and independence in a variety of settings
• Specialised extracurricular programs every day, such as MasterChef classes, yoga, dance and music
• Weekly Bush Kinder excursions promoting learning in nature
• Regular excursions to local partnering primary schools for children to meet teachers and become comfortable with the “big school” environment
